Z is a great contractor to work with. He was super timely from looking at the project to starting on the project. Super knowledgeable on explaining the process and steps to achieve the look i want. My floors and stairs look amazing that helped match the other flooring in my house. I would highly recommend his service to anybody.

Z Flooring just installed 1000 sq ft of vinyl flooring (stone polymer composite) in my high rise condo. All the HOA regulations made the whole process much more complicated than necessary, but Zlatko was great to work with throughout the process, even when things finally all came together all at once, he was able to start at very short notice- luckily our schedules aligned! Z is great at communicating and patiently answered all my questions before and during the installation. It really helped put me at ease, because I kind of operate on the assumption that people are out to cheat you. My floors and baseboards look great and I am incredibly happy with how things turned out. The team worked very fast, too! Would definitely use him again if I have a need in the future.

On September 12th, I received a quote from Z-flooring, among several others, to replace our carpeted floors with vinyl. After careful consideration, we decided to choose Z-flooring for our project based on multiple factors. Z-flooring sent us a proposal via email that covered carpet and padding removal, tack strip removal, floor scraping, all clean up, removal of baseboards, installation of baseboards, caulking of baseboards, all transition installation, leveling of the floor, 1700 square feet of vinyl installation at $2.25 per square foot, a 2-year labor warranty, and a $300 discount. We requested a contract, but it was not provided. Stating that I rely solely on what we agreed to and on email or text confirmation. We agreed. Z-flooring started the work the next day and completed it within a week. The work was done quickly. When I encountered some questions during the job, I was mostly brushed off with them telling me. You have to let us do our job; we do this for a living, etc., though I specifically let them know that I wanted the job to be thorough (which I was guaranteed). So I just let go of the thing. On one occasion, when I spoke up on the last day, saying that I did not like how they did the transition at the staircase, they told me that they were just not going to fix it. It was as if you got what you deserved. Any input and involvement from me was brushed off. After they finished, I found some spots missing caulking and baseboards, but I was exhausted and just happy to have my home back, so I just let it go. I figured that we would finish it ourselves. During the following weeks, we found several substantial defects, which we brought to the company's attention. The defects are cuts on several vinyl planks from the workers using a sharp utility knife to cut the planks to size without laying something under. (I saw the workers doing this, but I never said anything, because by that time I was demotivated from speaking up after being brushed off multiple times.) In one of the rooms (the office), the floor is laid so unevenly that it not only moves a lot underfoot, but we even hear the plastic underlayment crinkling beneath. Right away the owner started acting defensive, saying that it was impossible that his guys would cut the floor and that it was me. A month had passed, and knowing myself, I would have said something sooner if I had seen the cuts immediately. Well, I saw the first cut about 2-3 days after they finished. I took a picture of it (dated, by the way), but I was still exhausted and decided to let it go. I saw the second cut about a week after the first, and the third about another week later. After finding the third cut, I decided to let the owner know of them because that is too much, and anyway, I would be contacting him for the office floor. And after some text exchanges and my pointing out more unfinished items, such as caulk and baseboards, he began ignoring my subsequent texts. My husband tried calling him from his number, but the owner answered and said he was on a trip to Florida and his crew was unavailable that week; my husband asked him to check out the floors when he returned on November 5th, but there has been no word since. I texted Z-flooring a couple of days after that, but I am still not getting any response from him. At this point, all hope of a conversation has failed.

These guys worked hard and efficiently. The final product is wonderful. No extra charges to move this or that. Great contractor and great job, please talk to them for all your flooring needs.
