Customers say: Super punctual

"We were dealing with a drainage issue in our front yard that was worsening due to heavy rains and local construction. After calling Mike, he quickly came to our house, assessed the situation and designed a drainage solution for us. His team showed up to do the work exactly on the day he promised, and completed the job ahead of schedule. His crew took exceptional care to minimize the impact to our lawn by hand digging and filling the trench. After completion of the job you could barely tell the work was completed since it looked great. Most of all the system worked perfectly and completely eliminated the puddling we were experiencing. Mike amd his crew are true professionals who know their business and actually do what they commit to doing. I highly recommend them and greatly appreciate what they did to solve our drainage issue in a timely and professional manner."

"We had an issue with our sidewalk and curb in front of our house being unlevel and possibly a safety hazard. Jakalon was a one man show last Saturday. He was courteous, informative and professionally personable when he spoke with my husband and I. We would check on him and his work during the process and he would stop and share what he was doing. We were able to sign off on his work in a satisfactory time frame. Thanks J, we like your work!"

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

The primary reason homes have crawl spaces is so the foundation can reach down below the frost line to avoid dangerous soil movement and structural damage when the ground freezes. They’re more popular in colder climates where the ground freezes down to a few feet, and slabs are most popular in warmer areas where there is no frost line. Crawl spaces also provide a space for utility lines to run where they’re at less of a risk of freezing.

Yes, the air from a damp basement can travel up into your living area through a process called the stack effect, so moisture, mold spores, and other debris in your basement air can all decrease your indoor air quality on your main floors. Additionally, damp basements can promote the rotting of building materials, which can damage flooring, insulation, and framing on your first floor in addition to materials in the basement.

Standing water under your house can threaten its structural integrity. If water pools in your crawl space, it can damage the foundation and the structure above ground, causing wood rot, mold, and other problems. If you have a concrete foundation, standing water under your house can also make your foundation slabs crack.

Costs depend on the area's size and condition, damage extent, and chosen method. A professional evaluation provides a tailored estimate based on specific needs.

Yes, crawl spaces can attract bugs, especially since moisture tends to build up in the space, and moisture attracts pests. A good way to prevent pest infestation in your crawl space is to install a vapor barrier—called crawl space encapsulation—on the interior to seal the space, along with a French drain or some other kind of foundation drainage system outside to keep runoff out of your crawl space. You can also seal foundation cracks and repair damages to cut off access to pests.
