"I contacted Steve at Texas Roof and Fence last fall to get bids on my house and a rent house that had hail damage.  he was very responsive to those requests and quickly got me a bid.
I'm probably not the easiest customer to do business with and I wasn't thrilled with some of his terms and conditions so he agreed to changes I requested.  I'm not sure why but it took a few months to get his signed agreement back to me.  My impression is Steve has a lot of balls in the air and sometimes thinks he has done something he hasn't. 
The roof replacement was done last week.  I am still waiting on the barn roof and gutters which were supposed to be done this week but it's not looking like they will be.
Steve set a high bar and high expectations committing to cleaning up daily which his team didn't do.  He also told me when they cleaned up it would be spotless which it wasn't.   Steve said it was unrealistic to expect they would get more than 99% of the nails, etc.
He may have done better than most roofers would have.  I had high expectations based on the strong reviews he had on Angie's List and in Denton and his representations which fell a little short.  Not sure how much of that is because my expectations were too high and some because his crew or he didn't do what he said they would.

"iHis price was comparable to other quotes we received but he seemed more professional in his appearance and the way he wrote up the proposal.  He started the project exactly when he said he would and it was finished when he said..  He was on site the entire time and did some of the more difficult things himself.  All of his crew was very professional as well.  Whenever we had any questions they were very helpful and polite.  We have used his services twice now, referred him to friends, and plan to use him again in the spring or early summer.  They cleaned everything up before they left and except for a beautiful new fence, one could not tell anything had been done.  I give them 5 stars and recommend them with pleasure.

AWESOME JOB

I called Tex Wood Fence Company and an estimator came the same day and quoted me a price. Due to the rainy weather, their crew arrived about 10 days later and did an excellent job. Although they were short handed, the work was still completed in two days.  We really appreciate the hard work that you guys have done for us and the fact that they worked long hours after 9pm each day so they could complete such a LARGE job in a timely manner. The holes for the poles was very hard to dig due to the concrete underneath them. I can?t tell you how nice it was to have this level of service from a fence company, something we just don?t normally see anymore.
