"They first brought in and attempted to install the wrong (lower level) model but the job boss caught it and they brought in the correct one. Then they couldn't get the thermostat to work but came back the next day and got it working. The next week the thermostat read 3 degrees higher than the set temp, next day it was a 4 degree difference, next day the screen went blank. They came out within an hour and fixed it but didn't seem to know what was wrong. Seems like the problem is with the American Standard product though. Cuccos was quick to fix the problems and very polite and clean. But also, the Angie's List page says they give a 10% discount to seniors and I didn't get that - when I asked, instead the owner offered 5 years free maintenance."

"Jose and his helper arrived promptly and connected a large vacuum to the vent in the living room.  They then closed all the remaining vents in the house and cleaned the ducts in the attic and the other AC parts I mentioned above.  They then removed all the remaining vents, cleaned the vent boxes and painted with mold prevention paint.  The vents were taken outside and cleaned.  They came out looking brand new.  Spray was added and did not smell bad.  I went up in the attic and inspected the main supply vent box that also housed the coil.  They were clean and coated with the paint.  My AC contractor came a week or two after they were finished and said that they did a very good job.  We are happy with the work and the results.  We decided not to have a recommended UV light installed and there was no pressure to do so.  The vents were hard to open and close when they were finished, but UV Sam came back and adjusted the vents.
The carpets were then cleaned with the same machine used to vacuum the vents.  The carpet was very wet when finished and when it dried the carpets did not even look like it had been cleaned.  I called the office and told them I wanted a full refund as I would have to get the carpets cleaned again but was only able to get a partial refund of $86.14 on the $146.14 carpet cleaning.  I then contracted with another company to clean the carpets correctly.
I would recommend the air duct cleaning but not the carpet cleaning.  That is the reason for the low score.

"Last year, I called two insulation companies for estimates to blow insulation into my attic and my neighbor's attic.  I waited to have the work done, however, until this year.  The estimate that I received last year was much higher than the estimate I received from Affordable Attic Insulation. These guys really are affordable, and are about 30% less expensive than the companies I called last year.
I live in a condominium and have a common attic with my neighbor.   I have installed over 30 recessed lights in my home for general lighting and for art.  Billy used sheet metal to make a shield for each of my recessed lights, in order that they won't overheat.  Most of the recessed lights I have are new and don't need the shield, but he insisted on using a shield on all of my recessed lights just to be safe.  It took him 1 - 2 extra hours to find all of the recessed lights in my attic, and install the shields.  In my neighbors attic, he initially could not find her recessed lights because they were original construction and were covered by original insulation batts.  He called to recommend that he not proceed with blowing insulation until she could come home and show him in her home where all of the recessed lights were.  That delayed his job by a day, and he had to return the next day to finish.  But he got all of the shields installed in her attic, which was safer than not using them.  He did not charge extra for the return trip.  He charges $5.00 per light shield, but some other companies charge $10 - $15 dollars for the shields.
I was very impressed with his concern for safety, and how conscientious he was about making sure that the job was done right.
After he finished blowing insulation in my attic, I went up to inspect his work.  It was very thorough and complete.  There were a couple of places above bedrooms, however, that looked like the insulation had settled in the attic above the middle of the bedrooms.  I called Billy and asked him to come back and blow in some more insulation.  He did not question my request, and came back a few days later.  He blew in more insulation which is now between 16 and 18 inches deep in my attic.  He was very careful, and cleaned up insulation that was on my floor near the attic entry. 
Billy was extremely professional, courteous and an extremely hard worker.  He was very careful not to damage anything in my house.  He answered my questions and I will definitely use him again if I should ever need insulation blown in my attic.

"After a discussion with Alfred he mentioned that he could install an overflow protection switch so that if there was water backed up in the line it would stop the air conditioner unit.  He applied a special coupon for the installation and completed the job in about a half an hour.  Alfred was absolutely a delight to deal with and I intend to have him return to service my AC unit in the spring.  I highly recommend the company!
