"I was told that charges would begin when they left their shop and would end at the completion of the job. Sadly, I was charged for a trip to and from, neither of which was in the proposal. In speaking to other electrical companies as well as my own 45 years of experience as a home improvement contractor, installing a couple of bath exhaust fans is clearly a one man job, and should've cost around $350 - $400 total. However I found upon their arrival that the company policy is to send 2 men per job whatever the job. I provided a ladder for easy access to the hugely open attic and then proceeded to observe the next 3 hours one man doing 95% of the work as the other basically watched. No problem... accept that I was being charged $70 per hour per man and then told by the rude and unreasonable office personnel, Victor, that he was informed by the techs that I probably would be unhappy with the high charges. Being charged a $280 trip charge as well as $70 per hr. for a "gopher" is pretty excessive. I would never recommend Lloyd's Electric to anyone and am sorry I had to experience using them even once.
