First he started in the hallway stripping the wallpaper and prepping the area to be painted. Next he applied blue tape to the areas to be painted in the dining room . He then helped to move small items from the Dining Room.  He covered the remaining furniture with plastic.  The next day  he scraped the popcorn from the ceiling mudded and applied the first coats of paint.  He would switch between working on the ceiling, to painting the hall, and painting the back stairway. By the end of the day the work on small hall and back stairway was complete.  The next day he finished painting the Dining Room ceiling.  He then started and finished painting the wood work and walls in the Dining Room.  He started and finished the door last.

This company has one of those franchise set ups where you call a number and get someone in Florida or wherever. You never talk to someone local until the service person calls to say they are on the way. It's confusing because the coupon also listed a Florida location and I thought I'd purchased the wrong offer by mistake. Then, there are the calls from various locations to confirm the appointment. It made me very cautious because I've had several bad experiences with this type of set up and appointments that don't happen or get mixed up.
In the end, the man showed up on time and did a good job. We have pets and get a lot of lint and hair in the vents, which means we need to clean them annually or semi-annually, especially since we have a vent pipe that exits through the roof and not straight out through the wall. It's more apt to clog up and become a fire hazard. I get it done regularly and know what they should do, and it all happened very efficiently. They clean up nicely and were appropriately cautious about doors and equipment due to pets too.
