"Garcia Concrete showed up and did the necessary repairs. They were pleasant and did a great job! They cleaned up all of their mess before they left. The price for what I had done was reasonable. I would definitely use Garcia Concrete again!"

"One corner of the house had settled creating cracks in the concrete block walls of the garage. Raisecrete hand excavated the corner plus 1 area on the north wall, and 1 area on the east wall about 5 feet from the corner. They dug to approximately 2 feet below the foundation footer, placed #4 rebar in the areas excavated and poured 4000 PSI concrete to create new spread footers. After the new footers cured, heat treated steel plates were placed on the footers, then 30 ton bottle nose jacks on the plates, then heat treated steel plates on top of the jacks underneath the existing foundation. The jacks were used to raise the foundation back to its original position (as close as possible) and then encased in 4000 PSI concrete. The excavated areas were then backfilled with dirt. In addition, the stucco was removed from several areas along the cracks and carbon fiber strips epoxied to the concrete block. After curing, the carbon fiber patches and the cracks were covered with stucco. The only disappointment with the finished product is that the color of the new stucco is much darker than the existing stucco.

"Bart S. came over to give me an estimate on possible foundation repair and he found that I had no needs at this time. I appreciate his honesty and will definitely call USS again if I have any future needs. He educated me on what to watch for and gave me some advice to prevent future issues with my concrete slab."

"I set an appointment for an estimate and when he did not show or call after about 1 1/2 hrs past the appointment time I called him. He said he was delayed at a jobsite due to weather but will still be coming. Once he did arrive I showed him the job and explained that we were having concrete driveway put in and the person doing that was going to dig out the path and put the gravel from the old driveway in the path as a base. He gave an estimate of $4000 that then went to $4400 (extra $400 for "costs") I agreed even though I thought is was a little high and it maxed my budget because there are not many people that do tar and chip. He agreed to start about 1 week after the concrete was done. The path ended up one foot wider that expected due to the width of the bucket it was dug with but it was shortened by at least 20 feet. I my eyes the material used was about the same, as the extra width was balanced by the shorter path. We called and he said he would come out and take a look. He did not show up at the time he said to re-evaluate the job. a couple days later I called and he said he came by and looked at it. He raised the price another $400. This was simply over the budget so the work was not done. I got the impression he just didn't want the job. If that was the case it would have been nice if he just said that so I didn't waste a month waiting for it to be done. We are having stained concrete put in by the person who did the driveway for about $1000 less than his original estimate. I would not recommend due to poor communication, missed and late for appointments and high prices.

update August 27,2014.  I received a call from Shane at Asphalt Designs today after writing my review. He was very apologetic and explained he had been ill recently and also was under the impression I was going to be calling him back. He did offer to do the job in either tar and chip or asphalt which ever we wanted.  I still am going to get the stained concrete scheduled for next week as it is more cost effective and longer lasting. I do though appreciate the call to discuss my issues. He handled this quite professionally. I am changing slightly my overall grade and professionalism grade to a C."
