"Mike and Jared are very professional and knowledgeable about cleaning the HVAC. Our old house had lots of coal dust from years ago and they were able to blast it out in just a few hours. Air quality improved 100%. Would highly recommend them and hire them again without a doubt."

"Jimmy, owner/operator, did an excellent job. I had an idea to remove my outside combined HVAC. I wanted to complete a project unique to my home. Jimmy worked with my idea and expanded with his experience. The most important part, he was honest. HVAC, is not my trade, however, I do have some basic knowledge. Jimmy did not not inflate the work that needed to be done. It was fair. All work was done on time and completed professionally. I stand by this recommendation and review."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

If your drain line is clogged, your AC might stop cooling, shut down, or refuse to turn on at all. Otherwise, you might see your AC leaking water, find standing water or water damage near the unit, or notice a musty smell coming out of your air conditioner or vents.

An AC drip pan may stop draining if there’s a clog where the drip pan connects to the drain line. Clogs can form from a lack of cleaning or from rust or corrosion buildup. Cleaning the drip pan at least once per month lowers the chances of debris clogging the drain line.

AC drip pans last five to 20 years, depending on the material. Plastic AC drip pans last five to 10 years, while metal pans can last over 10 years. Plastic AC drip pans are vulnerable to cracking in response to temperature changes. Metal drip pans are prone to rusting over time, which can also lead to leaks.

It is normal for the attic to be hotter than the rest of the house in the summer, but only by about 10 or 20 degrees. Attics that aren’t properly insulated or ventilated can reach temperatures of 130 degrees or more which can cause damage to the home’s structure, including the roof, wood framing, and HVAC system.

The best way to reduce heat upstairs is to release it by opening a window. Hot air rises, and if you can create some airflow by opening a window upstairs and also one on a lower level, the hot air should be pushed out of the home. Remember that fans pointing out the window do a much better job of circulating air than fans pointing into the home.
