The pedicure started with my feet in hot swirling water. My feet and legs were massaged, and then my feet and toes were worked on. Then the color I chose was painted on. They gave me disposable flip flops and after the pedicure, I was able to go over and put my toes under a drying station. I will definitely go back! I loved it! For a regular manicure and a pedicure, it is only $37. I chose to get the gel fingernails which upped the price. Patrick came out on Monday, July 28, and went over the entire job. He asked questions to be sure he understood exactly what I expected. He also took pictures of every area to be addressed. He gave me a quote before leaving and promised to get back mid week. We talked later in the week and due to the weather I thought we'd be looking at Wednesday, August 6. Patrick called Sunday night, August 3, and asked if they could come today, August 4. Well sure, come ahead. Hannes, a partner in the company, came with the crew and I couldn't ask for a more pleasant individual to speak with. In fact he and Patrick were both professional and personable. The crew all made sure they spoke with me and shook my hand. I watched the majority of the work and these men didn't play. One stroke of bad luck was their chipper decided not to work. Instead of whining like some contractors would have and say they'd have to come back, they stayed and manually put the branches and logs in their larger bucket truck. They also had a four wheel drive truck with a 4 wheel trailer and somehow they cut and compressed all the remaining debris into the trailer. These guys did everything I asked and did an above average job. They thoroughly cleaned the work areas and pretty much all I could find left were some wood chips! When they left I spoke with each member of the crew and thanked them for their hard work. I've had many tree cut down on this property over the past ten years and this is far and away the best company I've had on site. If this review seems over the top I guess it's because it's just such a pleasure to get what you expect and at a fair price. They even honored in part a coupon I found after Patrick's original quote. That was okay with me as I just wanted it better for a few months until I can replace it. I appreciated his honesty. The carpet looks MUCH better and newer and I think I can postpone the new carpet even longer. Erby Scoggins did a terrible job on my house. I was given his name and number by the sales representative at Key James Brick Company and trusted the referral. Erby quoted me $5500 to remove all vinyl siding and replace with beautiful Horizon stone with a completion date of 10/31/13. Erby came to my house on 10/25/13 and removed all vinyl siding from around my front door and 2 side walls that make up the entrance way into my house. He collected $2800 from me for supplies and left after telling me he would return on Monday, 10/28/13. Scaffolding was left on the front of the house which blocked the front door and created a safety concern for anyone trying to enter and leave my home. Erby did not return to my house on Monday 10/28/13. I waited several hours and called him to find out where he was. He gave me the excuse that his truck was broke down. All materials and tools existed at my house so there was no need for a truck other than general transportation to the jobsite. Throughout the entire job, Erby kept asking me for more money. I told him that I wasn't going to pay until the job was completed and his response was that he couldn't make payroll that way. He was very unprofessional, rude and sarcastic when speaking with me. Erby showed up between 9 and 9:30am and left between 4pm and 5pm most days with a 1 hour lunch break. He and his crew stepped on all of my landscaping lights and crushed them. His broken down truck left grease spots all over my driveway. Mortar and chalky residue has covered my brick steps and will have to be cleaned. The craftsmanship, selection and placement of the stone work is terrible. There are broken edges that resemble a wasp nest and are concrete gray that are exposed and ugly. Mortar work is sloppy and exists on a lot of the stone. I questioned Erby about some of the craftsmanship and he was argumentative and sarcastic. Erby finished the job on Thursday evening, 11/07/13 and called me asking for the balance of the money that I owed him. I told him that I could not pay him yet because I needed time to review the job (in daylight) to determine if it was completed and fine tune an areas that needed attention. There were areas on the walls that were missing stones, stones that had fallen from the walls, mortar that was applied in a sloppy way and general bad craftsmanship that needed to be addressed. Erby became angry and told me that he was coming to my house to get his money that night. I asked him to meet me the next morning, Friday 11/08/13 so that we could review the job in the daylight and he agreed then hung up the phone after saying that he would only spend 20 minutes or so tweaking any inperfections that I found. He said there was nothing wrong with the job and that he wanted his money. I felt very uncomfortable around this man and no longer wanted him around me or on my property. I put blue painters tape on areas that needed rock or mortar to make it easier for Erby to make corrections. He showed up Friday morning and in a big hurry put sloppy mortar in the areas that I had taped, without removing the tape. I now have blue tape hanging out of some of my mortar. He also stuck ugly rock chips in areas that I had taped. The job is an aesthetic nightmare. I have had many friends and neighbors say "it looks good from the street". They are right. It does. However, as you come closer to my home, the errors in judgement and poor craftsmanship become more and more visable. If I could do anything different, I would have done more research on Erby Scoggins and gotten more options for the application of the stone. Now that I have had numerous contractors come to my home to give me opinions, I have learned that Erby Scoggins has a terrible reputation in the stone and brick industry. Unfortunately, I am finding this out after the fact. I am here today to submit my review in hopes of helping someone else avoid the hurt feelings and frustration that I have experienced at the hand of Erby Scoggins.

Another company came out, estimated it would take 4 days to clean it up, and quoted me $2500. My son whom has lived in this area for several years, suggested that I check with Tyke's Landscaping, that had done work for him. Tyke came out, walked around the area, and said he could do it in one day, at a cost of $1000. He and his crew showed up, worked like maniacs, and had it done in 9 hours. So much for the 4 days and $2500 the one company had quoted us. Tyke and his crew are honest and hardworking. My wife asked him what I thought was a lot of questions about the plants in this area, and he answered every question without hesitation. "(TL/DR: We are happy with the work Cory did, and I would recommend him for your landscaping needs.) The theme here is "all's well that ends well." Cory is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, and he's very agreeable to work with. He and his crew work remarkably quickly, too, and the quality of work is very good. The job was not without its hiccups, though. Cory is not a proactive communicator, and that caused us some grief along the way. Without boring you with every detail, Cory and his crew got to work on Day 1, and by the end of Day 2, they had built an entire retaining wall on a line different from the one we'd talked about. He told me he had lain the foundation on Day 1 and, when he didn't hear from me, assumed it was correct and moved on to building the wall on Day 2. Problem is, he didn't inform me that I needed to review his Day 1 work (I never imagined that he would do the work differently than what we talked about when he met me for the initial estimate), or that he would interpret no word from me as acceptance of his work. The result was that he had to deconstruct the wall and then rebuild it along the correct line, which I'm sure was a lot of work, but he did it and did so cheerfully. This kerfuffle was unfortunately repeated, in essence, with the landscape stairs--building, followed by no word from him, followed by silence from me, followed by a discrepancy between what he built and what I wanted. This was especially frustrating, because, after the wall incident, he said he would take photos of the unfinished stairs and send them to me for approval before completing them. But, all's well that ends well: he and I met to discuss the issue, and then he and his crew redid the stairs to my satisfaction. To sum up, my experience with Cory is that he will make judgment calls, build, and hope it works out right rather than consulting you to see what you want and doing it that way (or telling you it can't be done that way for a particular reason). If you have a drawn plan that Cory can refer to, you may not have these issues, and perhaps I should have insisted on drawing him a plan when he didn't insist on having one before beginning work. Or, if you don't work during the day, you could oversee the work and give feedback as it's happening to prevent any issues from arising. But don't expect Cory to be proactive about communication. So, after all that, do I regret getting Cory to do the work? Absolutely not. He got it done quickly, did it well, did it for an excellent price, and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. And we are. We are very excited about the way things turned out, and we can't wait to use the back yard space that Cory helped us create. I would absolutely recommend him."

FAQs for brush chipping projects in Powells Crossroads, TN
Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

Mulch costs anywhere from $30 to $150 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. On the inexpensive end, red and black mulch are about $35 to $40 per cubic yard, and are typically made from recycled waste wood like shredded old pallets or deck material. Cedar, cypress, and rubber mulch cost anywhere from $100 to $120 per cubic yard. A pro can help you determine the type of mulch most suitable for your landscaping needs.
Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.
