"We smelled a skunk outside and the smell would occasionally drift inside. Volunteer Wildlife Control came out and inspected our crawl space, under our screened in porch, and around the back deck. He didn't see anything but said skunks are known to wander from home to home and that he could come back so he set a trap. He left the trap out back for a few weeks but nothing ever went into the trap, but the smell wouldn't go away. The smell was very strong on one side of the deck so Doug came back out and began removing deck boards one by one until he saw a dead skunk.
