AXG Drywall Interiors Inc, has over 15 years of experience in the Drywall business & are fully licensed and insured. We do both Commercial and Residential drywall projects for contractors & Home owners. We pride ourselves in our ability and experience to ensure the job is done within reasonable time, and without reasonable doubt in our quality and quantity. Communication is something we do very well, however that on its own is not effective if the follow up does not match & we have both. CLEAN UP! We have seen over the years that other drywall companies and even other trades will wait till the very last minute to clean up a weeks worth of work, if not longer. we pride ourselves by not being like the others and clean up after every work day to keep the customer satisfied. "Victor and his crew are absolutely incompetent. The epitome of over-promise and under-deliver. I hired The Patch Boys to hand and finish a kitchen. I was quoted 2 full days to complete the job with the potential of a third morning to wrap up. - dust mitigation was a joke; I was left with dust everywhere and now need to hire a cleaning crew - the hanging job took 4 days and was awful - the "finishing" was even worse; bubbling everywhere, rough sharp edges all over the walls from not feathering/sanding, mud settling into the screws leaving dimples, exposed corner bead, over-routing boxes - caulk used on inside corners - I now need to hire someone who does actual finish work to fix the job - 2 days turned into 6 days, and it's still obvious that they rushed through this I regret hiring them. If you're wanting professionals to do a professional job, look elsewhere."

"Terrible company that does not stand behind their work. The owner Ken is nothing short of a bald faced liar. I had this company do 2 different commercial jobs and they screwed them both up. One they fixed after we chased them for months and the other they refused to fix even after it became apparent that their crew hadn't cleaned or prepped the walls properly which caused the paint to start flaking off within a month or so of the completion date. Ken was full of hot air and excuses and even tried to blame Sherwin Williams paint for their subpar work. They have been paid in full and yet they still refuse to fix their mistake. Classic example of a company that doesn't desire to be in business."

Which style of corner bead you choose—whether metal or paper-faced—depends on your preference and if you’re comfortable using metal-cutting tools and a hammer. Metal bead offers superior strength and durability but its installation is slightly more involved. We’d say for most cases, it’s better to use metal bead but if you’re not comfortable working with metal, paper-faced bead will work just fine. 

You can drywall over plaster, but there are some things to consider. First, installing drywall over plaster will increase the wall’s thickness. This could create challenges for window and door frames that no longer fit the wall’s thickness. You may also have to adjust power outlets so they are accessible. When done right, drywall can create a smooth, flat appearance, but it’s best when handled by professionals.

Drywall tape is made of paper, while drywall mesh is made of fiberglass or metal. Drywall mesh patches are suitable for repairing small holes in drywall, while paper drywall tape holds a crease better for corners. You need joint compound to adhere drywall tape to the wall, while mesh patches may be self-adhesive.
