"Ryan and Monty were waiting for me in the driveway when I arrived. As we stepped into the house, they pulled coverings on their shoes to protect the floors. I was *already* impressed. They assessed the two bathrooms, explained what we needed to do. One of the things they suggested was cutting an access into a bedroom wall. One of the drain pipes was quite loose and they were concerned it might not be connected to the vent. Since the house was sold (closing Friday) and the new owners had not and could not be consulted about the access panel, I asked Ryan if there was another way. He returned from the truck with a Christmas present from his wife--a camera that could look inside the wall. The drain pipe was connected to the vent pipe, saving us a considerable amount of money and preventing cutting the wall. The 'genera' contractor' had left a pipe disconnected from the drain and the plumbing beneath the sink was done very badly. Ryan and Monty re-plumbed the sink in accordance with codes. The Master bath was in the same sad shape and in addition the sinks were draining slowly. Ryan and Monty re-plumbed the sink, then determined that the drain pipes beneath the house were completely clogged. By this time, it was nearly six p.m., but they went back under the house (in a *very* tight and difficult location) and replaced the clogged lines. One of the old galvanized pipes was split and they replaced it as well. When they returned to the master bath, they discovered more bad installation from our 'general contractor' and corrected that as well. Unlike most plumbers, when these guys think they have a problem fixed, they test and re-test, check and re-check.
These two fine gentlemen spent eight hours in that house. They were polite, friendly, congenial and the epitome of customer service. I will hire Benjamin Franklin and Ryan and Monty for all my plumbing needs.
