After Hours TV Repair

Decided to buy new tv because of cost of repair.

Not well....it was going to cost more to repair the tv than I paid for it new

He was honest and said it was not worth fixing. When I went to apply the extended AMEX warranty I had and we had a VISIO authorized man come out, he totally agreed.

My 10 year old 50" Samsung Plasma TV stopped turning on. I emailed Steve and he called me to schedule a repair date. He came by and replaced a fuse, cleaned the contacts (metal part) that touch the fuse, and replaced a few transistors. This is the second time Steve has been able to help save a TV of mine. Much cheaper than buying a new one. Highly recommend.

My television and U-Verse kept going on and off. ATT came and checked the U-verse box and connections and told me something was wrong with my TV. I called Steve that evening and scheduled an appointment. He arrived at the scheduled time and quickly diagnosed the problem. The projection lamp/bulb was replaced and he also adjusted my remote control. Steve is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and he took time to answer all my questions. The man that came was honest and reliable. He was really really good. He provided excellent service. He came and took each TV and repaired them. I would definitely use him again!

Steve was very nice and professional, he knew the issue with the TV and had all the parts needed to fix the TV while he was there. It was the first issue with this TV which is several years old and the turn around time from the initial point of contacting was wonderful when you have kids. I will definiately contact him again if any issues with our TV's.

Couldn't ask for a better experience. He responded to my initial inquiry virtually minutes after I submitted it via Angies List. He was able to schedule an appointment in a timely manner. He showed up for the initial diagnose when he said he would. Took what seemed a reasonable amount of time to disassemble the TV and check out the problem. While I paid him for this visit, he told me that this charge would be credited on the subsequent visit, should I use him to do the repair, which I did. For the actual repair, a few days later - again, he was punctual. The actual repair took what seemed a reasonable amount of time. He ensured that all was working ok, and then he left. He was polite, punctual, clean, well-mannered, and professional. He knew what he was doing. Pricing was ok.

He determined that picture/screen panel got cracked and need replacement. It will be very expensive repair. He suggested to call OEM if they can help.

After Hours was honest with me about the potential cost for the repair as I described. Due to the type of problem I was having, it would have been cost prohibitive for me to replace the likely culprit. As such, I will likely need to just buy a new tv rather than sinking over $1k into my existing one. I was surprised at how quickly After Hours responded and I will most certainly keep them at the top of the list if I ever have issues in the future. Very impressed with their customer service and willingness to answer questions.

He only charged me a service charge of $49. He did not think he would be able to get to me for 3 days. To my surprise, he called that same afternoon and was close to me and came right out. Showed me how to reset the TV so I can do it myself next time. He was wonderful, nice and friendly. I would highly recommend Steve!!!

Steve is perfectly professional, friendly and courteous. From our first conversation, he was accommodating of my schedule and availability. He showed up on time, quickly assessed the situation and provided a detailed written estimate for an extremely fair price. When I called Steve back to perform the repair, he referenced the original estimate and ordered the replacement parts without requiring deposit or payment up-front. He provided an accurate estimate on how long it would take to get the parts (OEM no-less!) and followed-up when he had them in stock. We agreed on a mutually beneficial time to perform the repair, he showed up on-time and performed the repair using the new parts... unfortunately, the parts from the factory were faulty. No problem! Steve apologized for the inconvenience, assembled the TV as he had found it and reordered the part, again with no expectation of payment up-front! The second replacement part was immediately ordered, Steve again notified me when the part had arrived and he came again to perform the repair. As before, he was on-time and completely professional and pleasant. This time, the part performed as expected and he tested the functionality of the TV before showing me the resulting fixed HDMI inputs and audio output. I would absolutely recommend this business to anyone!
