He is very caring of his customers and puts their needs first. I highly recommend Tri-State Land Management to anyone that needs any outside work done!"

"I contacted Motter Land Services and an appointment was set within the week. Since I do not live on the property, it was important that the appointment be kept in a timely manner. Motter Land Services was 15 minutes early for the appointment and pulled up to the property right behind me. They walked me through the excavation process and answered all my questions. They even had suggestions on how to better the property in other ways. Very polite and knowledgeable."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

With proper training and experience, reading blueprints is fairly straightforward and not very difficult. If you don’t have the necessary knowledge to interpret the symbols, abbreviations, and other notations used, blueprints may not make sense. Learning to read blueprints can help you understand the construction process and keep you more involved and informed when you’re building a house.

You will find a collection of licensed land surveyors in your area. Your real estate agent or construction manager may also be able to recommend a trusted professional. When speaking with prospective pros in your area, ask the land surveyor if they are licensed in the state, have liability insurance, and can quote you a fee before starting.

It is almost always necessary to hire a land surveyor near you to ensure your fence sits on the right side of the property line. Mistaking the shape of your property can lead to fines and costly changes if you have to move or adjust the privacy fence—not to mention some surly looks from your neighbor. We recommend jumpstarting your fence planning in the spring to ensure there is plenty of time to map out your plan before construction season.

Property lines, building locations, and potential encroachments are mapped.

Measure from zero on a measuring tape by placing the metal hook right up against the edge of what you need to measure. You can also latch the hook onto an open edge—of, say, a table—to accurately measure as well. If you begin at the 1-inch mark, you'll need to subtract an inch from your total.
