"The project started with a picture from a magazine. Greg was able to take that idea and work it into a plan for our space, plus incorporating some other features we wanted. The results are 10 times better than the magazine! Workmanship is top notch. The paver patio is smooth and even, and the block wall and pergola perfect. Greg was responsive to any questions/concerns we had along the way, and we never had to wait long for a reply to a call. The crew was good about picking up before leaving. Completion took longer than we guessed it might, but material delays and bad weather were mostly to blame and couldn't be planned. The end result looks amazing! There will be minimal maintenance and maximum enjoyment of the space. And yes, we'd highly recommend Greg and Breezy Creek. The only problem is now the neighbors are envious."

Small jobs welcome

"This company provided quality workmen and workmanship. Michael Bolton is a pro at what he does and sees to all the little details. Everything was cleaned up each day before workers left so that while doing the landscaping, my yard was as neat as possible during the process. Everyone that participated in my beautiful landscape was friendly and eager to do whatever to make me happy. Thank you Michael for giving me a great yard to look at each day."

"My yard needed sprucing up to prepare for the sale of my house. I was contacted the day I called and had a visit for an estimate right away. I was very impressed from the beginning.  They started the job when I needed it started and finished in a timely manner. Three friendly men arrived when promised, and worked very hard to transform the look of my yard. They did what I asked for and much more. I highly recommend this company. "

"Things went great.  Provider kept in contact with me about appointment, and actually called me to see if it was alright to come early!  He did.  He was very talkative while he went about the work, and explained everything he was doing and why.  He pointed out a few things that were constructed wrong, but not something that needed to be remedied immediately.  The crew was very personable and friendly.  They were not pushy at all in discussing the roof and a few other things.  They just asked that we keep them in mind if we decided to do any other work. I would definitely call them for any future work on roof or siding.  Thanks for making us aware of Coombs Roofing and Design.

"Chris came and gave me a very reasonable quote. Because the roof was leaking I asked if he could tarp it until insurance could look at it. He was here the same day. I could go on and on about this company. I am so happy I found them. They went above and beyond my expectations."

"Average, they required a lot of direction and it took them several visits to complete a small job. They performed what was asked of them; however, I should have requested a firm price bid for the work since they took longer than expected.

Fountains questions, answered by experts

A koi pond should be at least 5 feet deep to keep the fish healthy and ensure they don’t freeze in winter. Koi fish are also known for growing large, so the more room you have, the better. A larger koi pond size will allow the fish to grow bigger than a smaller one will, and the more fish you have, the bigger the pond you’ll need. Learn how to build a pond in your backyard to ensure it remains functional and aesthetically pleasing for a long time.

After you fill in your pool, you can add trees and plants that help stabilize the soil. You might decide not to fill it in at all and find another use for the sunken area instead. A few ideas include creating a seating area or garden inside the empty pool. Depending on its size, you could create a place to roller-skate or install basketball hoops for an unconventional court.

When deep cleaning your koi pond, transfer fish to a clean, uncontaminated container at least one foot deep, like a large bucket, tub, or kiddie pond. Fill the container with their existing pond water to avoid shocking them, and place the container in full or partial shade. When it’s time to reintroduce them into the pond, slowly add the new water to the container before adding the fish and container water back into the pond.

Algae growth is a common issue for misters, but you can do several things to prevent it. First, use a sealed water tank with distilled or filtered water to fuel your misters. Second, blow out the misters after every use so no water is left in the tubing. Third, thoroughly clean the misting system every several weeks of use at minimum during the warmest months. Third, wherever possible positioning tubing and the water tank away from direct sunlight and in the coolest areas possible.

In short, yes, a pond can add to your home’s value. However, whether it adds value will depend on the condition and aesthetic of your pond. Having this feature already built into a yard’s home can be appealing to homebuyers who value its aesthetic and would prefer not to build it themselves. But if it is not kept in good condition, it could turn buyers away.
