"He arrived same day to give me a quote and offered to do the job same day. Next day, he arrived on time and the job took about 4 hours. He cleaned up the work area when he was done as well."

"Mr. Clancy came to my home in a timely manner; exactly when he said he'd be here. He told me exactly what he was doing at all times and didn't leave until the job was completed. He was friendly and polite and made suggestions regarding keeping the drain clear in the future. I will definitely be using his services again!"

"Don Hickman, the owner, worked with me, and best of all, he was responsive to every inquiry I had, getting back to me within an hour or so afterI emailed him. His technicians showed up on the correct day, and they were actually 15 minutes early! They came in, told me what they were going to do, sealed off the bathroom with some plastic, and they began work. Approximately three hours later, they had cleaned up after themselves, had me come to inspect their work, and they left. This company was not only responsive to my questions, but they did exactly what they told me they were going to do, and in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing this service.

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

As a general rule of thumb, it’s best to clean your linear drain every two to three months to prevent debris buildup. However, if you notice it draining slowly or an odor from your drainpipes, it’s best to clear the clogged drain and maintain it more often. If you let a clog go for too long, you may have to invest in the price of professional shower drain cleaning, which costs about $225.

While technically possible, it is unlikely that a clogged toilet will fix itself. Clogs caused by water-soluble materials like toilet paper or human waste may eventually break down in the water, allowing flow to resume. However, this can take time, and any clogs from solid objects require manual removal. In most scenarios, especially if you don't have another bathroom, it is best to fix the clog yourself or call a plumber.

Regrading your yard can often fix drainage problems. You can also try aerating the lawn to encourage better drainage or install a new drainage system to prevent water from pooling in certain areas.

French drains may fail when they become clogged with soil granules that slip through the pores of the landscaping fabric and through the holes in the pipe.

Over time, this debris can build up inside the pipe and prevent water flow. To prevent this failure from happening, regularly flush out your French drain and keep debris away from the inlet grate.

If your drain doesn’t have metal crosshairs or crossbars, you should use a tub drain extractor. These tools create a grip on the drain so you can turn it using a 1/2-inch ratchet drive, drain key, or wrench. Your drain may not have crosshairs if it's old and broken.
