"Since 7/2025 I knew we needed insulation blown into our less than 1300 SF 1973 built home. Got a quote for over $5000, left messages at many more and some didn’t even show up or return my call. On 12/16/2025 I called Angi list and was told someone would be calling me back soon(bet they want!) Well they did and I spoke Nick Martin of Martin Home Solutions and gave me a quote that I was able to pay (We are old!) and he and Jason Farmer came to our home last evening 12/17/2025!!! (Ready To Work!) We were so impressed by Nick’s honesty, open communication and work ethic. We were so very happy to know that we can survive this winter financially with adequate insulation in our attic. Call Angi List today if you are searching for someone for your attic needs, Martins Home Solutions will not disappoint."

"Aaron and his team got the attic insulation done on time and exceeded my expectations. He was very polite and professional in all aspects concerning this job. He did everything I asked and even gave me pictures of before and after ... I would recommend Tri-Star Wildlife to anyone ... you won't regret it. He saved me money and did more than what the other company's were asking. Mark Raith"

Our product, the Green Energy Barrier, is the most cost effective reflective attic insulation system available. Whether you install the product or not, you are already paying for it. This is because, during the summer months, heat gain contributes to thousands of dollars in wasted money for many Americans. The same can be said for heat loss during the winter months. Green Energy Barrier offers the premier solution to this problem. \n\n Unlike typical home installation products that merely help to resist heat, Green Barrier Energys reflective attic insulation system reflects heat by acting as a radiant technology. This technology is so powerful and effective, it is the same radiant heat barrier used in NASAs space suits. \n\n Green Energy Barrier Will Keep You Warmer in the Winter, Cooler in the Summer! \n\nStart putting dollars back in your pocket TODAY! \n\n \n\n

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Insulation prevents heat transfer, which keeps your home cool in summer and warm in winter. Regulating the temperature in your home is not only more comfortable for you, but will lower your heating and cooling bills—it’s a win-win. Make sure to determine the correct amount of insulation to ensure it is enough for your home and climate.

Blown-in insulation works, but only for unfinished attics. Also, it isn’t the longest-lasting nor the most effective option. For better options, look into spray foam insulation or natural fiber batts. They typically have a longer lifespan, better heat resistance, and stronger sound-proof abilities. Spray foam insulation costs about $1.25 to $1.50 per square foot, but can go up to more than $4 per square foot. Fiber batt pricing varies depending on the material.

Spray foam insulation doesn’t do well around heat sources. Therefore, You can use spray foam insulation to seal around HVAC boots that penetrate through the drywalls or around where wrapped ducts connect to the boots, but we don’t recommend using spray foam insulation to encapsulate your air ducts. Spray foam insulation on air ducts is also less effective compared to duct wraps.

Vapor barriers in attics are a bit outdated and most areas no longer recommend them for attic spaces. For vented attics, the best method is usually to install drywall and cover it with latex paint before attaching insulation fiberglass, cellulose, or foam insulation. When renovating an attic to use as a living space, a contractor can guide you on the best way to cover insulation.

There are several strategic ways to lower your home insurance premium. The primary one is to shop around and get quotes every few years to make sure you’re getting the best deal. Also, sometimes bundling your auto and homeowner’s insurance will get you a discount on both. Finally, try to keep your credit score up; many homeowner insurance companies use credit scores to generate quotes.
