"Want the job done right hire Mr. Hernandez. He is very knowledgeable about the work he does and definitely a person who can be trusted. Mr. Hernandez along with his Team arrived to do the work on the day he told me he would, they resurfaced my driveway, which they completed same day. Driveway looks great! I would not hesitate hiring him again for any concrete work I need done."

"Marlin and his brother did a fantastic job, very detail oriented, personable, honest, timely and fair. Marlin was never hard to reach and would call back timely. The project was delayed a bit due to rain, but everyday I received a progress weather update from Marlin. When the weather turned good enough to pour, the job was completed as promised, professionally done, and guaranteed. I would definitely recommend 'Moore is More Concrete' to anyone needing reliable, reasonable and professional work to be done."

"Cody Wallace came out and gave us a quick estimate on our driveway and back sidewalk/patio area. His price was within the range of 3 other contractors we had come out with estimates. He was very friendly, knowledgable and professional. We initially chose another company because of a better quoted price, but after a month of no response from that person, we called up Cody. We came out the next day for another estimate and to refresh himself on the job details. Even though he normally did not write up contracts, he was willing to put in writing the details of the work he would be doing for us.
Cody was able to start the job the very next week. They took one day to excavate and build the forms. They began early in the morning and were done by 3pm. Cody called me both at the beginning and end of the day to let us know what he planned to do, and what he had gotten done. He walked us around and showed us his plans and answered any of our questions. The next day the concrete arrived and they poured the entire job in one day. Cody said normally it would have taken 2 days, but because of rain in the forecast for that evening he wanted to get it finished. He called up additional workers just to get our driveway finished before the rain.  When an issue arose with the grading of the driveway, Cody notified me of the problem and then told me how he could fix the problem with a drainage area in our driveway.
We needed to have dirt filled in around the edges of the new back sidewalk and driveway. Even though that was not something Cody originally agreed to do, when we asked him about it, he offered to use his equipment to spread out the dirt--free of charge. He found the best rated dirt and company to bring out a load of dirt. Then Cody himself came and spent half a day spreading it around our yard for us.
His crew was extremely hard working and professional. They were very courteous and did not make a huge mess. After he was finished, he walked us around and showed us everything he did. We were pleased--above and beyond our expectations. We trusted him to give us quality work and he delivered with and ease and satisfaction that showed he had a lot of experience. Whenever I called him and left a message, he would always return my call within 24 hours. I would recommend Wallace Concrete to anybody.

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

Your typical household tools will not cut a metal pipe. To cut a metal pipe, you’d need more specialized tools like a pipe cutter or circular saw. Do not attempt to use these tools without taking proper safety precautions and wearing safety gear. It’s usually safer to let a pro cut a metal pipe, especially if you’re not confident in your skills with a heavy-duty saw.

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.

This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.

The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.

The best thing to cut metal pipe is a durable pipe cutter that is made for metal. You may want to measure the diameter of the pipes before purchasing a pipe cutter to ensure it will be able to cut your metal pipes. Opt for a heavy-duty option to cut through metal like steel or cast iron.

Some welding projects, such as repairing pipes or fences, require travel, whereas others, like furniture repair, do not necessarily require the welder to come to you. Travel and overhead factor into the overall cost of your welding project. Some of the most common welding projects include:

  • Metal furniture repair: $35–$100

  • Pipe repair: $200–$1,000

  • Small gates: $550–$750

  • Fencing: $1,200–$1,800

  • Fabricated sheet metal welding: $750–$2,500
