"I hate being condescended to. Listen to what I want and then give suggestions on how I might be able to work that out in my kitchen. Don't just tell me it can't be done. I felt like I was wasting my time. I asked about a particular type of closet (not realizing it was part of a bigger cabinet...how would I know) and she told me to follow her (using her finger to me like a child) and said I couldn't have it because it was as part of a bigger piece. She could have just said that. I said if I can't make my kitchen more "usable" (less wasted space), WHY to with custom cabinets. I could just reface. The woman behind me who was waiting to ask her a question said. Listen, if you can't get what you want, I don't blame you for not spending the money. It's easy to reface. So, I called another company and, low and behold, I'm getting partial refacing and partial custom cabinets. He came and we discussed HOW I could get my carousel cabinet (uh - he suggested I go from a double to a single sink - easy peasy) AND, he came in at half the price your website suggested I might pay. It is really nice to be listened to...especially when it's MY money I'm spending."

"I found Tennessee Contracting Services online, and saw they had good reviews. I called them on a Tuesday mid-morning, and in a few hours a woman in the office called right back and said a technician would be out between 12 pm - 2 pm. At the time of this review, I was informed during the call that they do charge a minimum of $325 to do any work. However, since they were the first and only contractor who called me back out of those to whom I reached out, then I was okay with the dollar amount.

On Wednesday, shortly after 12pm, the technician arrived. He was professional, friendly, and willing to fix what was broken. When I opened the door, he immediately gave me his business card, and I noted that he was wearing a company shirt and his truck was clearly labeled with company information. This is important to me since I had never met him or talked with him until that time, so these signs assured me that he was there for the right reason.

I explained to him what happened and where the broken shingles had landed (on the lower roofed portion of our deck). He climbed up his ladder to the very top roof of our two story home, and walked around. While he was up there he took pictures with his iPhone. When he came back down, he showed me where the shingles had broken off, and he also took pictures of where nails were starting to rust over and should be sealed. He was very upfront about possibly reusing some of the shingles, but he would still need to replace the ones that were broken. He also informed me that the likelihood of matching the exact color would be difficult because of how shingles were made in dye batches and considering our roof was 6 years old, it would be challenging to find a match quickly. However, he said that since it was at the very peak of the top roof from where the shingles fell, exact color matching shouldn't be a huge concern. He said he would be able to run to the local home improvement store, and be back within the hour to fix it. Otherwise, if i wanted to wait, then I would have to pay and additional fee for traveling back to do the repairs. I agreed that it needed to be fixed today before any further damage occurred from summer storms. By 2:30 pm, the tech was finished. He took pictures on his camera phone, and showed me the new shingles and the sealed nails. The color wasn't an exact match, but it was not significant enough to request a change. I figured within a year and the help of the sun and rain, the color will eventually fade to blend the old and new shingles together. The technician did clean up after his work was done, and even took away the broken shingles, so i didn't have to deal with it. I asked if I could receive a copy of the pictures that he took for our records, and so that I could show my husband the work that was done, and he said that he could email to me. He also said that I could reach out to the office and request them if I should need them in the future.

I highly recommend Tennessee Contracting Services because I had an excellent experience with them through this entire process. They are professional, prompt,. and get the job done.
