"I was in the market for a natural gas standup forced-air furnace and air-conditioning package. I got on Angies' List and looked at the recommended installer/dealers and called the top two local ones and had them come out and give me an estimate. I had also done some research on brands of equipment on my own and the top two sold and installed both those brands.
Derryberry had a sales rep call me back in about a half an hour and was at my house in about 3 hours. Along with a Lowes rep who I was financing through, they went over my old system, measured and counted the number of openings, looked at my insulation, inspected my wiring outside and in and gas evacuation system very thoroughly. Then they sat down with me and gave me 3 different options based on price point, efficiency and life of the equipment. There was no high pressure to pick one over the other. I picked the middle choice that gave me a 2 stage fan which was more efficient and would help save some energy cost.
After we agreed they ordered the equipment where back for the install 5 days later. I think they called me 3 times before they got there to make sure everything was ok for them to come. I appreciated that attention to detail.
They got to the house at 8:30 that morning with everything they needed, two installers and my salesman. They had everything in and working by 8pm that night. I was very impressed as to how professional the installers were and their attention to every detail. After the units were installed they did several air flow test at my return air duct to make sure there was the proper air movement for the house. I think they made a few adjustments to the fan. The installation very neat and professional.
In a about 2 weeks I received my warranty registration in the mail that they had filed on my behalf with the manufacturer and their own detailed installer warranty as well. Derryberry will now always be my hvac company. I highly recommend them to everyone.

"DeWayne and Anthony at DNA Heating & Cooling were excellent! Weeks before they began working on my home DeWayne answered my many, many questions to give me greater peace of mind about the particular unit I was purchasing and how they would be installing it along with the ductwork system. While working on the unit they were always super professional, kind, and worked very hard to figure out some tricky things particular to my home and how it was built. it's very clear that they're both extremely knowledgable and using their knowledge to help people get the best bang for their buck! i'm extremely thankful that i chose DNA Heating & Cooling to replace my HVAC Unit, ductwork system and work on several other projects. I'm confident no one else out there could have knocked out as many of my home repairs at such a good price and quality of work and materials used. Please do use them for any of your HVAC needs!"

"Steve was a huge asset to our home renovation. We purchased a 30 year old home that was in need of some updates and refreshes. Steve showed up on the day we closed to get us a quote, and go over each item in detail. He came up with a line by line price for each repair we discussed as well as an overall total. We knew we'd need about 3 weeks worth of work, so as you can imagine, once we got into things, we needed to add this, remove that, and fix this other piece. Steve was incredibly flexible with our changes and was able to work around and with the other crews that were doing painting/tiling/etc. He stuck to his timeline, his price, and his word that he was always on time, and he would leave our home as clean as he found it. I've made sure to keep his number in my phone because I'm sure we'll have other things pop up, and I won't hesitate to call Steve for the job. In the end, Steve had cased in a pass through shelving unit and turned it into a wall, he made a false wall above our mantle so that we could have power and cable above our fireplace, he delivered and replaced all our toilets, he repaired a toilet flange that was too high, he removed our built in communication system and patched the drywall, removed an old built-in 'breadbox' attached to our cabinets, installed a new countertop on our wet bar, and the list goes on and on. All the work he did was top notch and we couldn't be happier with the end result!"

"I scheduled the deal within a few weeks of purchasing it. They came out for the inspection and ended up coming out a second time to clean out the inside of the fireplace. I also had them install some gas logs and paint inside the fireplace. The service was fine and they did a good job."

"I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They were nice people, but I saw after they did the job that there was a tear in my dryer vent. As far as I can recall they were prompt."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

Depending on the size of your home and system, as well as any upgrades or add-ons you choose, it may take between three and five days to completely replace an existing HVAC system from start to finish. Your contractor should be able to give you an estimate before they begin the actual replacement.

Radiators are a popular home heating choice in older homes, but they are becoming less common in new-construction homes. According to a 2022 report by Elements Visual Capitalist, only around 1.3% of new single-family homes have radiators and similar heating systems, such as baseboard heating.

While they may not be as popular as they once were, radiators today come with more energy-efficient features that can make them practical for modern homeowners.

In most cases, repairing a radiator is more affordable than replacing it. A typical repair may cost between $100 and $200, while a replacement can average $1,500, with a range of $250 to $2,500 depending on the unit type. Radiator issues are often simple fixes for a professional, such as a blown fuse, malfunctioning thermostat, or a loose valve, and can take less than an hour. However, if the long-term costs of fixing the radiator are higher than replacement, it's better to get a new model. It is recommended to consult a heating expert to diagnose the problem and determine the best solution for your situation.

An expansion tank must always be installed on the supply side, which is the side where the boiler sends water out to heat the systems. That placement allows the water to push against the air and condense properly as it is heated, then circulated through the system. Professional installers can recommend the best place on the supply side for an expansion tank.

Yes. Boilers need water to run without overheating, also known as dry firing. If you run it without a sufficient volume of water, either because of a burst pipe or a leak, you run the risk of damaging your machine or jeopardizing the safety of your home as a whole. When in doubt, shut off your boiler and repair any plumbing issues before turning it back on. Alternatively, consider installing a low-water cutoff (LWCO) before any issues arise. This gadget will protect your boiler by monitoring water levels and automatically shutting it off if it gets too low.
