"I would trust the work of this company after the first man checking the fence that was broken. He was very professional and checked out the length and size and told me he would get back to me with the price. I received that email from the company immediately. Then two other gentlemen came out and did the work. They were friendly and did an excellent job. They picked up all the debris . I wish I could have people do work like your men all the time. They are excellent. Thank you so much."

"STL Woodworking did a stellar job with my special order for a one-of-a-kind river wood table. I described what I had in mind in terms of wood, colors, and size, and the owner (Greg) crafted the most beautiful table made out of a beautiful piece of macacauba wood and paired with a gorgeous epoxy color and a perfect set of black metal table legs. Greg completed the project on schedule and delivered the piece himself. The table is stunning, so I rearranged my furniture to make it a centerpiece in my sitting area, and I use it daily as my desk working from home. It is truly a piece of functional art. I am so glad I went with STL Woodworking for this project."

I started as a handyman after my career in law enforcement, so I've seen how hard it is for people to get help for anything. Customer service seems to be a thing of the past, but not with Middle Tennessee Enterprises. I pride myself in responding to everyone who contacts me for assistance. I have been incredibly blessed and have grown. We are now Middle Tennessee Enterprises, we can help you with any project big or small. We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship and quality along with our quick turn around time. We understand no one wants to live in a construction zone for longer then they have to. Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Learning how to frame a house includes picking the right lumber for the job. Most people will want to pick pine, spruce, or fir for the framing. These types of lumber are affordable and produce sturdy framing for structures. Look for kiln-dried lumber to reduce the risk of shrinkage or insect damage after installation. As part of what’s included in framing a house when you hire a professional, the contractor should order the lumber, so you don’t have to worry about finding the right lumber.

In framing, studs are placed at 16-inch intervals to coincide with the typical spacing of wall materials such as drywall or plywood. This spacing is called "on-center" and is necessary for maintaining structural stability and efficient use of materials. The 16-inch spacing also helps to distribute the weight evenly across the building's structure. For those looking to cut material costs and improve energy efficiency, 24-inch stud spacing can be employed through a method called "advanced framing". This requires careful planning and adherence to local building codes to ensure structural integrity.

No rules state how much of a load-bearing wall can be removed. Rather, you need to adequately support any area that is removed. Support should always be added to as much wall area is being removed. Failing to support the area properly will result in structural damage.

Removing a load-bearing wall affects the structural integrity of your home, so you’ll need a permit before starting the work. Building codes vary by municipality, and obtaining a permit and having the work inspected after completion will ensure you’re in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Professionals ensure precise alignment and durability, critical for structural integrity.
