"This is the 2nd time my family has used Tri Star. The first time was to clear out a newly purchased hoarder home! William and crew were fantabulous! Today I had them come to my home and clear off my deck consisting of a 25 year old 8 piece (seen it's better days) patio set, cushions and all. Plus there were quite a few other items taken away. Amongst them a small wooden shed in my yard that had collapsed during one of those small tornados. They dismantled what was still there took all the wood and whatever was under it away. I called them Friday, though they didn't ask for any, I sent pictures of I needed done. I was given an extremely reasonable quote and they were here today at the given time, they worked diligently and were done quickly. My husband came home just as they were finishing up and was highly impressed with the fantastic job they did. And you couldn't ask for a nicer more courteous team! I highly recommend this company and will most certainly use them again."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

The EPA enforces hazardous waste laws and ensures people dispose of their hazardous waste responsibly. Depending on where you live, your state’s hazardous waste regulatory agency may also enforce these laws. Individually, it’s up to each household to properly dispose of their hazardous waste.

While the EPA provides guidelines for homeowners to perform DIY lead paint removal, it is a risky process and generally not recommended due to serious health risks and strict regulatory requirements. The process requires precise safety precautions, such as wearing a respirator and protective eyeglasses, creating sealed exits, and using a HEPA vacuum for cleanup. To ensure the job is done safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations, it is highly recommended to hire a professional lead abatement company. Certified professionals have the necessary training, experience, and specialized equipment (like chemical strippers and HEPA vacuums) to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is to take it to a professional dumping facility that specializes in and accepts hazardous materials. These facilities will dispose of the materials in a way that is safe for both humans and the environment. If you don’t have access to a nearby facility, the best way to get rid of hazardous waste is to call a professional garbage removal company who handles disposing of hazardous materials .
