A week later the wire to the thermostat on another unit got cut and after I repaired the visible damage the compressor was still not kicking on. I called Upton again and they were out the next day and found the wires bare inside the unit. They cleaned and repaired the unit and were very fair with their pricing. I will continue to use Upton electrical for my heat and air and electrical issues. I had been trying for months to get screens put on 5 of my windows. Seems easy and reasonable enough. Just to be able to raise the windows without bugs and birds flying in. The came 4 times and every time the screens had been measured wrong. It took them weeks in between visits to even measure and come back. Finally we called Tull Brothers after telling Savannah Glass to forget it. They were friendly, courteous and helpful. They came out quickly and measured, gave us our estimate and had them installed within a weeks time. The price was a little more than what we were quoted at Savannah glass, but WELL worth it considering the quality of service. I will gladly use Tull Brothers again in the future if I should have a need. I will never go back to Savannah Glass. (Florence Rd. Savannah, TN) for any glass needs, windows or screens; be advised that over 3 months ago we called about them making and putting new screens on our windows. They were supposed to call us back and never did. We kept contacting them and were FINALLY able to get someone out here to measure. He gets here (over a month ago, mind you) and he doesn't even have a ladder with him, and was going to leave and SUPPOSEDLY come back with one. I told him he could come inside to save a trip, as this has been much too long of a process anyway. He comes in and measures and is supposed to make them, and call when they are ready to install them. No call after more than a week so we call them and they finally set a date and get here, Tuesday, Sept. 18th. Two of the 5 screens actually fit (or so I thought). The others were not even close to being wide enough. Now this 2nd guy measures and says he will go make them and be back the next day, which was Wednesday the 19th. Now a 3rd guy gets here and realizes these particular screens do not fit into the grooves of the windows, but they fit like the garage window screen, and they go on the outside of the window and are held by rubber stoppers, so he measures and says he will be back later in the evening and PROMISED they would get done yesterday. I never heard a word, and today still no screens. So I wanted to raise the 2 windows that have screens now, last night. I open them and see why guy #2 got them to fit so easy. They are WAY too small, and when touched, fall out! I called TODAY and asked them if we were EVER going to get them installed and they said he was coming today. I said ok, but the other 2 will have to be measured and re-done now, as they are too small. They said they would let him know. It is almost 5pm (closing time) and STILL NO SCREENS!!!! Now my question is: If they ACTUALLY do EVER bring those screens, before winter, will it take them until NEXT Summer to have the other 2 corrected? If they call me tomorrow, I plan on telling them where they can SHOVE their screens and I am calling LOWES!!! To top it all off (I am on a roll now....lol), the 1st guy that measured told the 2nd guy that a 6ft ladder would reach. We are in a split level house. It is much more than 6ft from ground to windows. So guy 2 had to come inside. When that didn't work, guy 3 gets here and was told by guy 2 that he didn't need a ladder or tape measure or anything, that they would just pop in from the inside. Needless to say, guy 3 had to borrow our extension ladder and tape measure, only to find out that they still weren't the right size. Wondering if guy 4 will ever show. GEEZ!!! As far as I can tell it is a small family owned place.....Guy #1 (old guy, as I call him) turns out to be guy #2's grandfather-in-law, and guy #3 is guy # 2's brother in law, so guy #1 (old guy) is guy #3's grandfather-in-law as well. They both said he was old and needed to retire, but wouldn't. I am thinking the whole dang company needs to retire. I just want to air my house out and raise my windows without getting a house full of bugs. Greg was a perfectionist. He screened in a back porch on my single wide mobile home. What was already there was off plumb and not level, but he worked around these challenges and the screened porch looks amazing. He also built in another section to make a storage room. It also looks...

Good over all service. Was here on schedule, and explained in detail what he was checking and gave me an upfront price on repairs before doing them. Very happy.

I've hired One Call twice, both times for broken frozen plumbing. Did a great job getting our water turned back on and repaired and then insulated the pipes so (hopefully) we won't have that problem again.

FAQs for screen repair projects in Adamsville, TN
Whether you should repair or replace your window screens depends on the severity of the damage and the screen’s age. For large tears or holes or multiple points of damage, replacing your screen may be more cost-effective than attempting to repair the damage. If your screens are more than 10 years old, they may continue to give you issues after repair, so it’s likely worth replacing them. We recommend hiring a local screen repair technician, as they will have tools on hand for a repair or replacement and can recommend the best course of action.
It’s possible to make minor screen repairs yourself using a waterproof adhesive for small tears or a screen patch kit for larger tears and holes. However, it’s usually a better option to call in a professional window technician. It’s very easy to use too much waterproof glue, resulting in a messy appearance that might demand a full replacement anyway. A screen repair technician will not only be able to carry out clean repairs and patches that aren’t obvious, but they can also let you know if replacing your screen is a more cost-effective option.
Window screen repair costs around $310 on average, ranging from $100 to $480, depending on material, the type of window screen, the window size, the accessibility of the window, and whether you need to replace the window screen frame. You can save money on window screen repair costs by using a more affordable material like vinyl or fiberglass, rescreening instead of replacing them, and swapping multiple screens at once to combine labor costs.
Screen repair is always worthwhile, as tears and holes in your windows and door screens are unsightly and allow pests and debris into your home, rendering the screen useless. The faster you repair your screens, the faster you can open your windows and doors freely to let the fresh air in. Consider repairing multiple door and window screens during one appointment with a screen repair technician to make the investment and labor costs worth it.
Some hardware or specialty window stores in your area may repair damaged screens, but it’s less time-consuming, more convenient, and potentially more affordable to hire a screen repair technician to come to your home to do the work on-site. The screen technician will have the tools and experience to get the work done the same day, and they can inspect other screens while there to help avoid repeat repair costs in the future.
