"The work was excellent. Jessie and his crew were very friendly and professional. They kept us informed of the work progress and asked Roger his opinion on the work being done.  "

I am a Journeyman electrician that has been in the trade since 2015. My experience ranges from new construction single family and multi family dwelling units, whole house remodels, and commercial new construction and commercial remodel. My prices will be cheaper than calling an electrical company, but if the job requires a permit to be pulled the homeowner will need to pull it or I can hand the job off to the company I work full time for. My attention to detail and keeping a clean and safe work space will exceed your expectations. I look at all aspects of the job to get even the "impossible" jobs done in a timely fashion. I will include you in every step of the job so you know what I'm doing and why and to make sure the job is done the way YOU want or need it done!

Our work is responsive, innovative, and dedicated to project delivery. We strive to provide our clients with substantial return on investment regardless of whether the performance metric is financially or philosophically motivated. Our experience spans the breadth of project delivery methods including traditional design-bid-build, design-build, construction manager at risk, and integrated project delivery. Irrespective of whether we are engaged by an owner, architect, or contractor, we understand the nuances of each delivery method as well as the requirements and duties of each party during every stage of the delivery process. Listen, understand, and then deliver – we focus to solve your needs by delivering a quality project on time and within budget.

Electrical questions, answered by experts

You should never plug a normal 120v appliance into a special 240v outlet, as it can quickly burn out the appliance. This will cause irreparable damage to the appliance and, in worse case scenarios, cause damage to your circuit breaker. Check your appliance’s rating before plugging it into a 220v outlet to avoid electrical disaster.

Before the widespread use of PVC, affixing a ground wire to plumbing pipes was generally considered to be an acceptable workaround. Nowadays, not so much. There are plenty of nonmetallic water pipes and fittings out there, so any ground previously provided by the metallic piping would be interrupted in these cases, which is dangerous.

A light switch should be at least 2 inches from the edge of the trim of a door. The location of wall studs will often help determine where to put the light switch by your doorway, and in most cases, wall studs make it impossible to install the switch closer than 2 inches. When possible, try to keep the switch within arm’s length of the entryway.

A correctly functioning outlet will not cause a fire risk if nothing is plugged in. However, if the circuit is overloaded or there is a fault with the outlet, the connecting wiring, or the circuit it is attached to, this can lead to the risk of fire or electrocution, even when nothing is plugged in. Turn off the circuit breaker immediately and seek professional assistance if you suspect a fault.

The cost to upgrade an electrical panel ranges from $1,200 to $2,000, depending on the type of electrical panel you need and the size of your home. Amperage plays a central role in determining the cost, so calculate your home’s electrical load before purchasing. For example, a 100-amp and 400-amp panel vary widely in cost.
