"He shows up when he says he will. The work he did was excellent. The tile shower floor he repaired for us looks even better than the original did when it was brand new."

Customers say: Quick response

"Brock has been helping me improve my rentals since 2016. He always offers amazing customer service, and brings so much craft and creativity to his work. Our latest project was a complete renovation of a 100-year home in east Sioux Falls. What we thought was going to be a simple job, turned out to be a much bigger challenge than I'd hoped. However, Brock was able to manage each step of the job without fail, and final renovation looks spectacular. I am completely amazed by the transformation! And many of the neighbors comment on how great the home looks. Overall, Brock has added a tremendous amount of value to this house, and past projects. I am very pleased with the end result, and I will continue to work with Brock on all my future projects."

"Victor keeps in contact and has a great group of contractors who work on his team. Everyone of them did outstanding work. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a tile contractor, as well as any other work associated with the project. Victor communicates well to understand the goals of the project."

"Mr Samuel did a very nice job on our entry hall. He removed the old tile, and then installed a laminate floor. There was a small problem with the transition strip between the floor and the carpet in the living room, which he will address on Monday because his supply store was closed on Saturday...however, he did not allow me to pay until the entire job is complete. I am very happy with his work."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can tile a shower as a DIY project, and you can save hundreds of dollars in labor costs by doing so. However, you’ll need to rent or buy quite a few tools and supplies for the job, including a saw, tile nippers, and a new shower pan. In terms of the work itself, you should be prepared to tackle a variety of different tasks, including measuring and ordering materials, removing old tile, waterproofing the wall, adding rows of tile, grouting, and more.

Travertine is a natural stone, while porcelain is ceramic. You can enjoy the best of both worlds with porcelain travertine tiles. Some people prefer porcelain to travertine because it doesn’t require regular maintenance and it’s easier to clean. Porcelain travertine looks like the real thing but only costs $3 to $6 per square foot.

Regardless of the material, basic square tiles will never go out of style. Neutral colors like white, grey, beige, and black will always be in demand in residential and commercial settings. Certain designs, like herringbone and hexagonal patterns, are considered timeless. Porcelain and porcelain-like tiles will also never go out of style.

The cost depends on the type of natural stone. High-end stones can cost as much as porcelain, but it depends on the specific material. For example, the cost of flagstone pavers is typically $2 to $6 per square foot, which is much more budget-friendly than porcelain. Outdoor slate tile can cost as much as $35 per square foot, which is about the same as porcelain.

There are no unbreakable rules of design, but experts recommend against using large tiles in areas with poor subflooring where they’re more prone to cracking, in areas where the floor isn’t entirely level, over raised areas or dips, and in bathrooms where budget is the primary concern. The size of your bathroom shouldn’t be a reason not to use large tiles; in fact, larger tiles, also known as slab tiles, can be a modern and sleek choice for bathroom floors and walls.
