Everything from lawn and snow, to construction jobs like deck building, concrete, landscaping jobs, all the way to interior items like trim work and demolition work. I also do lots of handyman work. If I do not know how to do it, I will help you find someone who does. I have been doing all of these things since I was 12 years old, I have worked for a construction company my whole life and have picked up many different skills.

Water your yard a little more deeply after a drought for about two weeks (while still avoiding overwatering). Bahia grass is not difficult to grow, but you might need patience for this slow-growing grass. Whereas some grass species, like Bermuda grass, can take 1 to 2 weeks to germinate, Bahia grass can take two or three times as long, making it seem like it won’t grow. But again, once your Bahia grass is established, it requires little maintenance. Its deep root system makes it a very durable grass that can bounce back after freezes and droughts. 

Overwatering won’t just hurt your wallet with the water bill; it’ll impact the longevity of your lawn. 

Too much water on your grass will deprive the root system of oxygen, stunting its growth and even killing it. Stunted root growth means a weak and disconnected root system. That means the lawn is weaker, making it more vulnerable to diseases and drought.

When spring arrives, it’s best to hold off on mowing until temperatures have consistently reached a temperature of at least 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Attempting to mow grass that hasn't fully thawed from its winter dormancy can harm the delicate blades. Ensure your grass is dry before mowing and aim to mow when the grass is about three to four inches tall, trimming no more than one-third of the grass blade's height at a time. This timing encourages healthy growth and prevents shock to the grass, preparing your lawn for a happy, healthy growing season.

Buffalo grass does not turn green as early in the spring as some other grasses. If you have a heavily shaded yard, buffalo grass may not receive enough sunlight to thrive. It’s not as dense as some other grass varieties, so it may not feel as comfortable on bare feet.
