"Great work, always was respectful of our time in the home while he was working, cleaned up each time, and had wonderful suggestions to make things go better. Really knew what he was doing and we love the results! Finished our job within a few days instead of dragging it put and piecing it between other jobs like we have experienced in the past from other providers. Will absolutely use them again for our next home improvement project!"

"We had a long drywall crack, both vertical and horizontal, from house settling. Kevin called right away, gave us an estimate and set up an appointment to repair it. The final cost was a little higher than the estimate but he did quality work at a reasonable price. Very friendly guy. I recommend Munoz Drywall."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

It is more difficult to drywall a ceiling than it is to drywall a wall, but not so hard that DIYers can’t tackle it. One of the main issues with hanging drywall on your ceiling is getting it into place. Drywall isn’t light so, if you are hanging full drywall panels, you will need at least two (it’s better with more) people to hold the panel while you drill it into the ceiling as a single piece can weigh between 40 and 60 pounds and will need to be held in place for up to 10 minutes.

The best tool for cutting a hole in drywall is a drywall saw. Its serrated blade and ergonomic design make it efficient for both straight cuts and more intricate shapes, ensuring clean and precise results in various drywall cutting applications.

If the holes in the plaster are small, you can fill them with layers of patching plaster until they’re filled. After it dries, you can sand the plaster and paint over it. If the hole is much larger, consider using bonding plaster first and then a layer of patching plaster, completing the process with sanding and a layer of paint.

Yes, as drywall mud is going to have some uneven spots and bumps after application. Such imperfections are going to be visible after everything dries and even after you paint the wall, so you want to remove them. Learning how to sand drywall, taking your time, and following drywall sanding tips can help you have the best results.

Look for flaking paint or air bubbles that burst and then flake away. Paint will begin to flake after being exposed to minimal moisture or water, so it’s a good indicator of any water damage. If you notice your paint starting to flake, feel the plaster underneath to see if it is soft or damp.
