"Vitaly exceeded expectations with great attention to detail and quality workmanship. He walked us through selection of color, hardware and style. He really knows his craft. He showed up on time and did all he could to minimize dust and disruption to our family while he worked and then cleaned up after each workday. He replaced kitchen cabinet fronts, repaired damage to our cabinet frames, replaced hardware with soft close hinges and quality door and drawer pulls and painted our new kitchen cabinets with a very durable paint. We are thrilled with our new kitchen cabinets and he was the most reasonable of the bids we received. We highly recommend him and his company with no reservations."

SHOWPLACE WOOD PRODUCTS INC
SHOWPLACE WOOD PRODUCTS INC
Employee-owned Showplace Wood Products crafts fine all-wood cabinets, with a unique combination of value & selection, backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Every cabinet is made-to-order to fit the individual homeowner's specific style and space requirements. Showplace Cabinets are sold through a nationwide network of independently owned kitchen and bath dealerships; you will not find Showplace at any big-box home centers, through buying clubs, or online sales sites. In just a very few years Showplace has gone from a standing start to being a major national brand. That's because many independent cabinetry dealers and their customers like the Showplace mix of product, flexibility and price. It all began with an idea: Create a cabinetry brand that makes sense. A small group of experienced cabinetry professionals gathered together in 1999; this group shared a vision for a brand that offered the most-wanted features to the most people. But this vision also included some important differences from other brands. Like modifications that were comprehensive and affordable, often without charge. Like specialty style and finish options that were also affordably priced. Like a product offering that was complete, yet not overly complex, or weighed down with too many restrictions and limitations. In 2006 the company transitioned from its original group of owners to become a 100% employee-owned business. Mission: The original vision of the founding team laid the path but it's the people of Showplace who walk the walk. You'll find a bunch of typical South Dakotans here: People who work hard and care about what they do. People who are naturally friendly and helpful because, well, that's just the way we are. From top management to customer service to the workers on the line: We're all proud of the brand we've created - the brand we all own - and are personally invested in the products we send out the door. Awards: - 2002 South Dakota Business of the Year (SD Chamber) - 2005 Best of the Wood 100 (W&WP magazine) - 2007 South Dakota Philanthropic Company of the Year (AFP) - 2007 Healthy Employer of the Year (Sanford Health) - 2008 Inc. 5000 Honoree (Inc. Magazine)
"ABSOLUTELY BEWARE! I installed painted cabinets in May 2021. By Feb 2022 they were chipping. Ever since, have been trying to work with the supplier and Showplace's rep to understand and rectify the issue. And the problems are getting MUCH worse. The paint literally will peel off if you use gentle painter's tape or even run your soft finger over an edge. It looks as if my cabinets are 20 years old and I am an extremely light user of my kitchen. My contractor and Showplace's own painter who assessed the situation agree it is adhesion problem. But Showplace keeps coming up with one excuse after another for not having any responsibility. They are claiming that mine is a "unique" issue, but now I see reviews on many sites stating this very same experience. There clearly is a manufacturing defect on painted cabinets. And Showplace does NOT stand behind its warranty. It's really disappointing because I love my kitchen overall and the cabinets are so functional. Sadly, if you are in the market for painted cabinets ... buyer beware. I am happy to share details and pictures of what I have been experiencing."

FAQs for cabinet refacing and refinishing projects in Flandreau, SD
The cost of cabinet refacing is $7,230 on average. However, it's possible to pay between $1,200 and $16,000 for this project. Factors like the number of cabinets and the refacing materials impact the total cost significantly.
For example, plastic laminate is the most cost-effective cabinet option for refacing, costing $1,000 to $3,000. If you're looking for solid wood cabinets, you can expect to pay more, ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 on average for refacing.
The difference between cabinet refinishing vs. cabinet refacing is that the latter involves replacing most of the cabinet components, whereas the former only freshes the exterior look of the cabinetry.
Cabinet refinishing involves the cabinetry being disassembled, cleaned, and sanded, then a new finish, like paint or glaze, is applied. You can refinish the cabinet doors or go further and refinish the cabinet boxes, too.
Cabinet refacing involves replacing the majority of the cabinet materials, including the cabinet, drawer doors, and hardware. In this process, a veneer is applied over the existing cabinet boxes to make them look new.
The cost to refinish cabinets is $3,000 on average. However, this cost can range from $700 to $6,000, depending on the size and location of the cabinets, the refinishing method, and number of cabinets.
Staining your cabinet doors is the most cost-effective option, costing between $4 and $10 per square foot. However, if you choose to glaze them, that price jumps to $10 to $25 per square foot.
While it’s possible to reface or refinish kitchen cabinets yourself, it requires substantial time, money, and sweat equity. In particular, cabinet refacing requires many tools and materials, costing you between $1,645 and $6,570, depending on what you already own. Besides that, this is a project that shows imperfections easily. If carpentry isn't your strong suit, hiring a cabinet professional is best to ensure high-quality results.
To prepare for cabinet refinishing or refacing, it’s important to remove all items from the cabinetry in question. In addition, clear any clutter from the room, whether it's the kitchen, bathroom, or otherwise. Be sure to have additional cabinet materials, such as cabinet hardware, lights, and glass inserts, ready for your cabinet installer to use.
Finally, if you have pets, ensure they are in a safe, separate location away from your cabinet professionals, who will bring materials in and out of your home during the process.
