"The work to extend/enlarge my concrete patio was completed on time - - overall. So far, the work appears satisfactory. William told me that concrete work usually has a one year guarantee. However, William never sent me a written estimate nor a written invoice. So, I have nothing to prove that he (JW Concrete) did the work should I encounter a problem in the future or need to file a claim of some sort. Also, his initial quote did not include tax. I did not find that out until final payment."

"Fantastic crew to deal with Ben is an expert concrete contractor and I was particularly pleased that he brought his sons along as part of the crew to learn a skill. Very rare this day and age but the boys are learning skills and work ethic. I interviewed Ben on Monday and my job was complete on Wednesday due to circumstances but that shows the eagerness of this company to find and do work. You will not be disappointed"

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

If you’re using water pressure above 2,000 PSI, you should wear a full face shield—at 4,000 PSI, a water jet can easily slice through skin. Always wear heavy-duty, waterproof gloves and rubber boots with metatarsal guards. If you’re working with hot water, make sure your gloves are insulated.

In most cases, driveway repair is worth the investment. Your driveway is one of the first things people see when they look at your home, so repairing cracks, chips, and potholes can improve your home’s curb appeal and overall value. Repairing your driveway is also almost always more affordable than replacing it entirely—an average of $1,765 compared to the cost of replacing a driveway, which typically costs around $5,000.

You can hire a landscaper to clean up your asphalt driveway or make minor repairs. You can also hire a company that specializes in asphalt driveway installation and repair. For cleaning jobs, most landscapers charge by the hour. Pressure washing a driveway costs between $100 to $350, but spot treatments and refilling damaged asphalt will cost extra.

Whether you need to winterize your pressure washer depends on where you store it. If you can keep it in a relatively warm place with no risk of freezing, you won't need to add antifreeze. However, if the machine will be stored in freezing temperatures, any liquid left in the water pump can freeze, expand, and cause severe damage. To prevent this, add antifreeze to keep it in good condition. While some suggest emptying the machine with compressed air, this can be a tedious process that may not fully drain the liquid. Regardless of storage conditions, it is also good practice to empty the gas chamber and refresh the oil before winter storage.

If your epoxy application ended up a bit messy and left spills behind, there are several ways to clean epoxy off of a concrete floor. You can use a power washer with at least 3,000 PSI. However, it may be easier to use a scraping tool or an acidic cleaner, like vinegar, to remove unwanted epoxy.

If the entire floor has epoxy and you want to remove just excess epoxy stains, these methods could still strip parts of the epoxy floor. Move carefully and in small areas to minimize damage, or call a pro for an expert finish.
