"This was a complete remodel of two bathrooms at the same time. Complete demolition and removal of two cast iron tubs. Replaced with one tiled shower and one Onyx shower. Start and end dates of project were on time. They were here everyday until remodel was finished. If you have a major project, look no further than AnchorRoot. Get them while you can. They won't last long once the word gets out about their work."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

I pay them month to month. I'm happy with them. Price is good. We don't pay, I fix it and they, everything is paid for. I don't have to pay anything. I don't have to pay anything. If my refrigerator goes bye bye, they will replace it for free. They are very professional. We have had them for years. We used them at our other house also. I think it was the air conditioner that went out. They replaced it, the whole thing. They were recommended to us by somebody who's been with them for years. And, like thank god because a year later the damn air conditioner went out. So we were able to use it."

Doors questions, answered by experts

A slab door is a standalone door without a frame or hardware. A prehung door is a complete set that includes the door, frame, hinges, and sometimes the doorknob and lockset.

In most cases, a prehung door is the better and easier option to install, especially for DIY projects or exterior applications, as they often come pre-weatherproofed. They require fewer tools and less experience to install properly. Although prehung doors are heavier and have a higher upfront cost, the investment is often worthwhile for a complete upgrade that includes a new frame.

A slab door may be a better choice if you are on a tight budget, have a custom-sized wall opening, or only need to replace the door while keeping the existing frame. While the initial cost is lower, you will need to purchase all the hardware separately and do more DIY work to hang it, which may not result in significant time or money savings.

Yes, it is essential that you perform bi-annual maintenance on your bifold doors. This means checking the hardware, cleaning the door and the tracks, and lubricating the locks. Most of this work can be done on your own, but if you wish for a more thorough inspection, you should call in a professional door repair company.

Barn doors do not always require a bottom track, especially if a high-quality top track is used to stabilize the door. However, a bottom track is often recommended to ensure the door operates smoothly, prevent it from scratching the floor, and keep it from pushing inward or outward, which could cause damage. A bottom track also keeps the door more secure and properly anchored. In some cases, an interior barn door can hang solely from a top track without a bottom guide. If you do install a bottom track, it should be placed six to eight inches from the floor and be at least twice as wide as the door.

Most modern, standard doors are 1 ⅜-inches thick, so you should aim for this thickness unless you're building a door to replace an antique door or fit into a non-standard wall opening. Thickness varies when installing a pocket door or sliding barn door, so a good rule of thumb is to measure your existing door, if possible. For standard doors, you can also measure from the inside of the door to the door stop to gauge the proper thickness.

Pocket and standard doors are similar in price, but pocket doors cost more to install than standard doors. Professionals usually charge around $150 to $200 to hang a standard door. But if you're installing a pocket door on an existing wall, you'll likely pay between $1,000 and $3,500
