"Paul Schuck was professional, quickly determining the problem and the rewiring that was needed. He explained in layman's terms the work needed and the procedures done. He took special care moving the dishwasher on our newly installed tiled floor (no scratches). He also replaced a 3 way hall light switch. I will request Paul again for the wiring of my new dishwasher. Very happy with the company and Paul's service."

"During December Mel did our HVAC maintenance, diagnosed the need for and installed a new condensate pump for our downstairs system and added a UVC germicidal system for our new upstairs HVAC system. We always request Mel for his expertise, knowledge and willingness to explain, and he always does an excellent job. We also had a new upstairs HVAC that was installed by Robbie and John and subsequent duct cleaning and disinfecting by Thomas. They all did an excellent job and were good and patient at explaining, answering questions and cleaning up the work area."

"It was fine.  I probably wouldn't use them again as I had them give me a quote for another job.  He said that his secretary would call me and she never did.  So I probably wouldn't use them again. It's hard to say about his quality of work since it was just installing two lights.  He was professional but a little flip I thought.  I was a little concerned because his helpers hands were dirty and we were putting up white blinds.  I didn't feel they appreciated my business.  They were just going thru the motions.  It seemed they were fishing for big jobs.  Overall it was fine.  But I wasn't super impressed."

"LM Construction charged a fair price, turned up on time and were professional and courteous. They were very detail oriented and nothing was too much trouble. They were prepared to stay late as required to complete work. They came to do one tile job and ended up getting all the work. I have no hesitation in recommending them."

"The electrician was punctual and professional, although there was some confusion as to the pricing. Why am I choosing NOT to use them for additional work? Over the top pricing. Other chandeliers (requiring an electrical box in the ceiling) were priced at just under $800 per chandelier. This was substantially higher than anyone else's quote."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

You can install a ceiling light fixture using a similar process to the one described in this guide. Ceiling lights can have added difficulty because of their location. Working on a ladder with your head tipped back and your arms in the air isn't ideal, but with big projects come big rewards.

The majority of potential burglars are amateurs looking to make a quick buck after breaking and entering. By installing motion-sensor lights, alarm systems, and security cameras, throughout the home, there’s a good chance you will deter crime on your property.

Replacing a pool light costs about $625 per light. If you only need to replace the light bulb, plan on paying about $20 to $100 per light. The largest cost factors include the type of pool light, the number of pool lights needed, and the labor costs in your location. But additional cost factors include work required on existing wiring, other repairs, and the continual maintenance needed to keep your pool light in good working condition after installation.

Some types of fixtures might be a little trickier to remove than others, but they’re all relatively basic DIY jobs that should take an hour or less. Identifying the type of light you have is the first step in a safe, simple removal—learn how to remove recessed lights for a quick how-to on taking out one of the more common types of fixtures.

Under-cabinet lighting is generally energy-efficient, especially when using LED technology. Compared to traditional ceiling lighting or older bulb types like halogen and incandescent, LED under-cabinet lights consume significantly less energy, which helps reduce operating costs. This applies to various forms, including strip lights, puck lights, and built-in fixtures. For an option that uses no electricity, consider battery-operated puck lights. While they require periodic battery replacements, they have the added advantage of functioning during a power outage.
