"I can't say enough about the fantastic experience I had with US Associates when purchasing my above-ground pool. Their customer support team guided me every step of the way, ensuring I picked the perfect pool for my space. The delivery was swift, and setting up the pool was straightforward thanks to their clear instructions. The pool construction is impressive, with a strong frame and durable liner. Maintenance has been effortless with the included pump and filter system. "Great company great customer service great communication after cleaning the pool for which it was green and bringing it crystal clear to blue. He proceeded to dive in 8 feet to replace the drain cover. That was missing when finished cleaned up. Everything was done correct thanks. Great job."

"One oven doesn't work at all ( my choice, see above), the "working" oven was never calibrated properly so using it is hit or miss. It's time to call American Home Shield to see about replacing the entire unit. I'm waiting to finish other home projects before calling them. I don't know if I'll request Greenway again."

Install Above Ground Pools questions, answered by experts

Pool pumps should work discreetly and quietly. If you hear loud screeching or grinding sounds from your pool pump, it’s a good indication that its motor is starting to fail and may need replacing.

Yes, you will need building permits for an inground pool, and your pool installation company should pull them for you. The permit filing fee will usually sit between $400 and $1,800, and it should appear on your contract or invoice. You may want to confirm with your contractor that they will pull all necessary permits. You might also need a permit for a new fence, as many municipalities have special fencing requirements for properties with pools. A fence permit costs between $50 and $500. This expense may not be included in your pool installation estimate.

Infinity pools do require slightly more maintenance than other pools because you’ll need to constantly monitor the water level. If the water level is out of whack, it won’t correctly flow over the edge, which gives the pool its infinity look.

That said, the rest of the maintenance is largely dependent on the type of material you choose. Concrete needs a little extra care to prevent algae growth, and you will eventually need to resurface it. Fiberglass and vinyl liners are algae-resistant but they’re not as durable.

You can place a pool alarm on the surface of the water or mounter underwater with motion detectors. Alarms placed on the surface will alert you if it detects wave movement. If mounted below the surface, known as "sub-surface,” the alarm detects changes in water pressure.

Installing a pool chiller can give you more control over the temperature of your pool, especially if you live in a climate with hot summers. Just a few degrees of cooling can make your swim feel more refreshing and allow you to use fewer pool chemicals by slowing down the growth of algae. You might not need a pool chiller if you live in a climate in which temperatures tend to dip at night.
