Overall, the team did an excellent job with both the initial installation and the subsequent repair of the discharge lines, which had come apart over time. They were professional, transparent, and truly seemed to care about the project. The only challenge I encountered was not with Mt. Valley Foundation Services itself, but rather with its parent company, Ground Works. From my experience, Ground Works has acquired many smaller foundation companies across the U.S., and it seems they may be struggling with logistical coordination. The call center they use is not very user-friendly, and I experienced multiple miscommunications and scheduling errors. Unfortunately, this puts Mt. Valley Foundation Services at the mercy of Ground Works' logistical issues. That said, I highly recommend working with Mt. Valley Foundation Services. My advice is to obtain the names and direct contact information of the service team when booking—this makes future communication significantly easier. Once I was able to reach the team directly, they went above and beyond to accommodate my needs. Living in a flood-prone area, I feel confident that the sump pump project they completed will be a tremendous benefit to our home and property. Calling the company itself about what's going on or complain is absolutely impossible, if someone does answer the phone, they give you the run around. You can use a water gauge to check that water pressure, which should be between 40 and 60 PSI. If you don’t have a water gauge, you can also time how long your showerhead takes to fill up a 1-liter container. If it takes longer than 6 seconds, you’re dealing with a case of low water pressure.

An active cleaning agent and a drain snake is the best way to clean a main sewer line. You can purchase a regular or enzyme drain cleaner or make a DIY drain cleaner with baking soda. Use your chosen solution at least once a month or as needed to keep your sewer line clear. 

There are quite a few telltale signs that you've got a leak. The most obvious ones are that water is pooling in parts of your home where it shouldn't, and the water bill is higher than normal. If you frequently hear unusual whistling noises coming from the pipes or experience a drop in water pressure, these are also signs the hose pipe burst.

A hose bib is typically located on an exterior wall of the home, about 6 to 18 inches from the ground or on a deck floor. It will have a top handle that you use to turn the water supply on and off. It will also have a male hose thread, or MHT, on the outlet side, where you would connect a hose.

Toilet handles can get stuck for a couple of reasons, but it’s commonly an issue with the chain. Remove the lid and check the chain’s connection, running from the flapper to the handle arm. Sometimes the chain gets snagged on or against another part of the tank. 

The chain might not have the right tension. For example, a chain that’s too short can make the handle feel stuck. Check that there’s some slack in the chain. Old, worn-out flappers can get stuck, too. In this case, you’ll need to see which size toilet flapper you need.
