"Luke called immediately after request to schedule. Timing worked out perfectly - the next 2 days. He arrived on time, painted 2 separate stairways with very high walls on day 1 and then day 2 painted our living room very high ceilings. Overall, could not have had a better experience. Will definitely hire again and highly recommend."

"Great company! Professional owner! Hardworking Crew! Excellent job! I contacted the company on Tuesday 2/15 and the owner was professional and ready to assist. I explained what I needed and he listened, offered suggestions, and gave me a great price. I signed my contract the following day. Bright and early this morning the crew arrived and got right to work. It took them approximately 6 hours and they did a lovely job. I recommend Floyd's roofing of the Carolinas to anyone and everyone that needs roofing installation or repairs and I look forward to doing business with them in the future."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Selecting the right size wood stove fan depends on the size of your stove and the room it heats. Larger stoves or rooms may benefit from fans with larger or multiple blades, as these can move more air efficiently. Consider the fan's specifications and airflow capacity to match it with your stove's heat output for optimal performance.

Yes, a fan can help drywall mud dry faster by improving air circulation and reducing humidity in the room. Drywall mud dries through evaporation, so increasing airflow speeds up this process. However, you should position the fan to blow across the room rather than directly on the wet mud. This helps prevent drying too quickly, which can cause cracking. You should also use a dehumidifier if high humidity is an issue.

It depends on your budget and cooling needs. Whole-house fans keep your home breezy by pulling in cool air and pushing out hot air. In places with milder climates, they can replace air conditioning. On the other hand, Attic fans focus on keeping your attic cool—not your entire house. Often, whole-house fans cost more than attic fans, with installation ranging from $600 to $3,600.

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.

A whole-house fan will not allow you to control your home's temperature and keep it at a specific temperature like a traditional AC unit would. You rely on the night and morning weather to cool your home down efficiently. Also, whole-house fans can be loud and may allow cold air to enter your home in the winter. They also require penetrations through your exterior walls or roof, which could invite water and pests in if they aren’t installed properly.
