"The technicians are amazing at Ethical Plumbing. My mother passed away and the next week I found a water leak in her basement. I called Ethical Plumbing and they got me on the schedule the very next day and made everything so easy. We have since found a different problem that they also helped us with. Always shows up on time and diagnoses the problem and offers different solutions. Thank you!"

Small jobs welcome

"Scheduled work for a week plus and then had a change so called to reschedule sooner. Very cooperative to do so but took a few trips for both our and their time to finally sync. Very pleasant young man, Robert, showed up slightly early and went about the work quickly. Very respectful and professional but toilet came out with plastic lid and seat and I had specified wooden item. Toilet was slightly shorter than old one and that left an un-tiled floor area behind the commode exposed. Tank was more narrow than old one (I asked and was assured it was "nearly 20" wide" (it was not) and now have area to paint part of the wall. Left the two bolts exposed because did not have saw to cut them down and apply the bolt covers. Brought wooden seat out and left on the front porch so I installed it, now have to paint and cut the bolts down. Maybe 4.5 is too high. More commercial than residential oriented, but Robert was so nice I can forgive some minor things not done to my satisfaction."

"Very impressed with this company. I scheduled a kitchen faucet installation with Jacob. He arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and professional. The installation went perfectly. He even cleaned up after everything was installed. I would highly recommend this company for any plumbing needs and plan on using them again soon!"

"I got online and fill out some information asking for suggestions of a local plumber to help with plumbing for a double sink vanity. We currently had a one sink and wanted something with more space. Within hours of asking for suggestions I received a phone call from Three Sons Plumbing. I spoke with Brandon who was extremely polite and ask for more details of what I was needing done. He told me he could come out the next morning and complete the job, he also told me up front an estimate and told me that if anything changed price wise he would inform me before proceeding. He came out the next morning, was prompt and did an excellent job. He explained things to my husband as he went along. We were extremely pleased with his work. He also offered to help move the new vanity into the bathroom and checks multiple times for any leaks or loose pipes before leaving. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely use him again for any other needs we may have."

As much as I remember all items were repaired/fixed within minutes. I was initially given several options of how things could be fixed, one option regarding the toilet being extremely costly, I went with the least expensive, which was still pricey. The repairman was very thorough and professional. I have no problems with his work, However, Ben Franklin is extremely expensive and they always seem to have many solutions, at least one which will be more costly than the others.

Septic Repairs
Holy cow!! We found it!
Almost looks like we didn't just install 400' of 4'' Storm Drainage to save the septic system from near total failure.

Sometimes excessive storm water can wreak havoc on a septic system and cause the system to break down prematurely.
The septic system was drowning, we suggested diverting the storm water to protect the septic tank & field lines. Problem Solved.

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Recaulk your toilet at least every five years. If you feel like your toilet is getting wobbly before that, it still might be time for a new caulking. Never directly place new caulk over existing caulk because that doesn’t produce lasting results. Also, caulking over existing moldy caulk does not kill out the mold by suffocating it, so if you have mold, be sure to get rid of it before recaulking.

Yes, you can fill your toilet tank manually to help it flush, or you can pour the water directly into the bowl to flush it manually. This will work for the majority of toilets, as most use a gravity feed system. However, you should only ever use this as a temporary solution. If your toilet tank isn’t filling, you should find out why. First, make sure the speedy valve connected to your toilet and your water main are open. If that doesn’t solve the issue, call in a professional to address the problem.

One of the many benefits of a pressure-assist toilet is how long it lasts. You can expect a well-maintained one to last up to 30 years. That's five years longer than a standard gravity-fed toilet, so it can be a worthwhile investment if you’re willing to spend more on your toilet installation.

If you notice water coming out of the bottom of your tank or the flush handle, you obviously have a leaking tank. Water on the side of the tank can indicate cracks. Other signs include the toilet running and flushing without anyone touching the handle, needing to jiggle the handle to make the water stop after flushing, or needing to hold the handle down to empty the water tank.

You generally cannot replace a 10-inch rough-in toilet with a 12-inch model without making significant plumbing updates. A 12-inch rough-in toilet will not fit a 10-inch rough-in space because the floor drain is in the wrong position. To accommodate the larger toilet, you would need to move the drainpipe, which could cost between $0.75 and $30 per linear foot, plus labor. In most cases, it is more cost-effective and simpler to purchase a new 10-inch rough-in toilet. However, it is possible to install a 10-inch rough-in toilet in a 12-inch space by using a longer connector.
