"Brad contacted me, met with me as planned. Looked at the job, gave me a quote, we set the date and time. He was in constant contact with me because of weather delays. The day of the job, Brad and crew arrived on time and prepared for the job. He completed the job ahead of schedule. They even did some extra work at no extra charge. Very professional and super nice group of guys. Already have him looking at my next project."

"JJ arrived on time and grinded down over 20 stumps. He left our yard easy to plant seeds so we can mow. Now our backyard is much more eye pleasing. Thank you so much. Would highly recommend using . Mike&Bettie"

"We have a new construction home. Nothing but red clay. Wanted someone who could prep and clean up the property and install a complete underground sprinkler system. The second stage in the spring will consist of fertilizing and seeding the property as well as planting shrubbery. Their work ethic and creativity have both been outstanding. I canâ t wait for the weather to warm up a little bit so I can see the rest of their vision come to life!"

When you need land cleared in a responsible, Eco-friendly manner, hire the reliable team at Wildcat Advanced Land Clearing. We are ready to handle any size job while providing an environmentally responsible service to ensure the land heals and replenishes properly. We use revolutionary advanced machinery to reduce the material on the spot providing a smooth mulch layer to control water runoff, soil erosion and to replenish the soil naturally. Our process is very different from the traditional large, heavy equipment clearing that harshly disrupts and strips the topsoil of its natural resources, opening the land to uncontrolled water runoff, soil erosion and a very slow healing process.

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Digging a bush up by the roots is the most natural DIY method for removing a bush stump. Start by identifying the shrub type and revealing its roots. Cut the shrub to its base and loosen the soil, ensuring no utility lines are nearby. Optionally, treat the base with herbicide, then dig around the roots and cut a circle around the shrub using various tools. Dig a trench, cut the base of the root ball, and finally fill the hole to prevent regrowth. This thorough process ensures complete removal without damaging surrounding areas.

Excavation and grading are both generally necessary for designing your foundation, and leveling the ground where your foundation will go. These steps can also prepare the area by removing vegetation and anything else that could interfere with your home’s foundation.

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.

The best way to protect tree roots is to avoid the roots entirely by excavating outside the root radius of the tree. For nearby projects, it’s a good idea to construct a temporary retaining wall. But that’s not always possible, depending on the project and the root system. In these cases, consider using alternative equipment like an auger to tunnel under the ground.

Remember, tree roots can damage nearby cement foundations as they grow. If a tree is close enough to interfere with large excavations, it may be better to remove the tree than risk future problems.

Tree experts don’t advise against digging through tree roots, but instead encourage caution and consultation with a local arborist to make sure you don’t damage the tree’s structure or interrupt its water or nutrient intake. An arborist can recommend specific practices when digging and help prune the roots or dig a trench for utilities with a tool that can remove soil without touching the tree’s roots.
