Our coordinator, Ryan McAlister, was extremely knowledgeable and informative during inspection of our crawl space water issues, and his subsequent repair recommendations. Ryan was like a professor explaining retrofitting encapsulation of the crawl space and basement water issues with a slab, along with discussing such encapsulation during a new build vs. standard floor insulation in a crawl space in a climate above 60% humidity. Fascinating and educational discussion for me as an homeowner with very limited knowledge of the subject. Ryan was patient and is truly an expert. He also provided additional advice on other ground water issues and recommendations for us as homeowners to try, outside the crawl space, in order to save us money. His crew was extraordinarily hard working and diligent, personable and friendly. They did a great job in every detail relative to trench digging, gravel, wrapping, wall insulation, sump pump, dehumidifier, and drainage. "I have a construction background but was unfamiliar with encapsulation as I just moved to Georgia. After extensive review of the encapsulation systems that were available in the area, and the price difference, I concluded the Crawl Space Doctor was a good fit. The main reason I chose the Crawl Space Doctor was because of their system. The other system was double the cost of the Crawl Space Doctor, so I carefully reviewed the difference and felt I would be getting equal benefits. I selected a 90 mil film for my project. "Our home was built in 1968 and has a very, very small crawl space. Prior to purchasing in 2014, there was a high moisture content noted by a home inspector and on the CL-100 that was not mitigated correctly by the previous owner. After moving in and recognizing there was still an issue, we had Clemson Extension come and inspect our crawl space, as well as three other basement/foundation companies. None of the other inspections were as thorough or complete as the one we got from Paul at Crawl Space Medic. Not only was he able to more thoroughly diagnose our issues under the house (which were many), but he explained the steps for mitigation, never tried to sell us anything that we did not need, and worked with us as each issue arose. First, the Crawl Space Medic crew had to excavate the entire crawl space of our home, which they did in the worst cold snap of the year. Regardless of the horrible working conditions, they were there early, stayed late, were respectful of our home at all times, and stayed on schedule despite the hardships of weather. Once the excavation was done and the full extent of the damages we were facing was assessed, we worked with Jon and Paul on developing the best game plan to repair the damage to our foundation and mitigating our moisture control issues. In fact, the french drain/sump pump was a line item on our estimate until they were 100% sure that it was needed. When the french drain was installed, they made sure that it drains inconspicuously and does not flood our landscaping every time it rains, which is a truly professional installation. Once we began work on the major repairs to the house, which included tearing the floor out of a bathroom for much of their project, they made sure our house was kept neat, that we were not inconvenienced as home owners, and that our repairs were done correctly and thoroughly. Every day, they let me know when they would arrive and when they left, and also let me know what time to expect them the next morning. Since we had to essentially replace an entire bathroom, they coordinated with our schedule and with our contractor on scheduling their portion of the work with the rest of our renovation. They made what could have been a horrible experience much easier! 

I would not have anyone else handle my foundation and crawl space repairs. We have had other contractors under the house, and we have gone under the house, since Crawl Space Medic's crew completed their work and everyone is impressed with the quality of the repairs. This was an extremely difficult job which they did beyond all expectations. In addition, after having other similar contractors come out and try to sell me on systems that we don't need and on remedies that would not work, Crawl Space addressed the elements of our problem individually, didn't try to sell me on anything we did not need, and went above and beyond on the quality of their repair. Other contractors simply marry new wood to existing to repair foundations - Crawl Space Medic actually removed all the damaged materials and put in new materials under our house. 

I highly, highly recommend Crawl Space Medic. Their entire team is beyond professional, and quite simply, they are the best in the business, bar none. "They didn't end up doing the work. They were really high on what they wanted to do. Other people who looked at the porch said that it was not causing an issue with any water intrusion and that there doesn't seem to be any signs on the posts that this could have been recent, it could have been long ago. So no work was done. It was a front porch that had just the level concrete on one side was dipping just a little bit. I think they were going to pump it up from underneath or something like that to level it out. I would say that their response time and their professionalism of getting the quote to us on a timely manner was good. The quote was high and yet the work was not necessary according to other quotes. They should be honest to say when repairs are necessary and when they are not. The guy who showed up was nice and professional and was on time. There was a decent response time."

"Everyone we dealt with from Cantey Foundation Specialists were very professional, timely, and caring throughout the entire process from job estimate to the actual work done. While the work done did not bring all areas back completely to their original states, with the exception of one area, they were all pretty close. Realistically, It's very difficult to fix in two days what has taken place over a period of years. I am very satisfied with the job done. Grayson (job estimator) and Estevan (crew leader) were very helpful and great to work with through the entire process."

"The technicians arrived at my house and immediately went to work.  One technician cleaned the dryer vent while the other two inspected the chimney.  The technician who cleaned out the dryer vent went into the basement to inspect the dryer vent in the basement before he started.  That process took about 10 minutes.  He showed me the bag of lint that he removed from the dryer vent.  He acutally took out quit a bit of lint.  The other technicians came in to tell me that they found no cracks in the chimney and offered to spray the sealant into the chimney.  The gave me a quote ahead of time and told me they could preform the service right away so that I didn't need to make another apointment.  That whole process took about 45 minutes.  I was impressed with the professionalism of the technicians.
