"After discussing the problems I was having by telephone, the owner Mr. William Clubb determined that the cause was the systems control clock. Mr Clubb showed up on the date promised with a new control clock and the necessary installation tools. I found him to be extremely firendly and knowledgeable. He removed the existing clock, attached the new clock to the wall and rewired the new clock quickly and efficiently. My irrigation system has been working properly since the installation was completed.

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Fescue grass is a relatively low-maintenance grass type, meaning it doesn’t require much more attention than regular watering, dethatching, and mowing. Some fescues even grow slowly enough for hard-to-reach areas, particularly those inaccessible by the mower. Following a seasonal maintenance schedule will help your fescue lawn stay green, healthy, and durable for years to come.

There are several reasons your grass may be dying that could be in or out of your control. The most common issues include poor drainage, under/overwatering, poor soil pH, low soil nutrients, low sunlight, or too much foot traffic.

The best hardiness zones for St. Augustine grass are USDA growing zones 8, 9, and 10. However, with a bit of extra attention, it'll also grow well in zones 7, 11, and 12.

If maintained correctly, natural grass should last between five and 15 years, or up to several decades, depending on your home’s climate conditions. You can extend your grass’ lifespan by treating it well, including regular mowing, weeding, watering, and preventative pest control. Consider hiring a local lawn care service to provide everything your grass needs to live a long, healthy life.

When hiring a lawn aeration professional, they may suggest other related services to get your lawn looking lush and fabulous. Prior to scheduling any of the following services, you should consult your lawn care pro about the order and timing of multiple projects to ensure best results for your grass.
