"I need decking for a 15 year old 16x24 foot deck replaced. Upon removal of the rotten decking it was discovered that many of the supports were also rotten, Eli was able to replace or repair all the cross beams and supports. He replaced all the decking and lattice work. The deck is now structurally more sound than before and saved me a lot of money instead of building a whole new deck. Joists do distribute their load to beams, but they don’t sit on top of the beams. You’ll need to carefully angle your grinder to accommodate the curves in the wood, and aim to remove around 1 inch from the profile of the molding.
