"Jody called me within minutes of my online request to remove a dead bird from my chimney. He arrived within an hour, identified himself immediately and successfully assessed the chimney situation, removed the carcass and nest, disinfected the area and left no trace. He was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. As a mom at home with my 3 children, I felt comfortable allowing him in my home and was pleased with how he quickly and effectively got the job done. Would highly recommend!"

"Bobby McElrath called immediately upon my inquiry through Home Advisor for mosquito control. We hired him to spray monthly throughout the summer months and into the fall. He has been to our home twice treating for mosquitoes and we are thrilled! We can actually enjoy our patio, deck and the grandchildren can play in the yard without being swarmed by mosquitoes. He was very courteous and polite. We are very pleased with his professionalism."

"Great job. Came out when he said he would, assessed the issue, set up some no kill traps and eliminated the squirrel from reentering my home. Followed up to make sure there were no additional issues."

"Unfortunately he was unable to find where squirrels or rats were getting in our attic.  He offered valuable advice and a possible solution.  The problem turned out to be the ring at the top of our chimney which we have since repaired.  I would definitely call him again.  He is excellent and a wealth of information.

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

To keep animals out, you must prevent them from entering. As long as they can get in, the problem will persist. That said, consider making your attic less inviting using deterrents like motion-activated lights or ultrasonic devices. Additionally, keeping a well-maintained, clean, and uncluttered attic that you regularly inspect for activity may make the space less attractive to critters.

The brown recluse has numerous predators in the wild (or close to your home). They are a valuable part of the ecosystem, too. Their predators often include birds, praying mantis, crickets, chickens, spider wasps, and more. However, the brown recluse spider is a master at hiding, making it much more difficult for predators to hunt them.

Pest control measures for bird and bat issues typically last from several weeks to months, depending on the effectiveness of the implemented solutions and the return of conducive conditions.

Rabbits face a range of formidable adversaries in rural and suburban areas. Natural predators such as hawks, foxes, bobcats, raccoons, coyotes, and weasels pose significant threats to their survival. These skilled hunters target bunnies for food, contributing to regulating rabbit populations. Outdoor housepets can be enemies, too, particularly dogs and cats. And loud little humans playing in your yard make great rabbit deterrents, too.

It can be difficult to know what type of animal is in your attic until you see it. But several clues can help you narrow down the suspects:

  • Sounds: Smaller animals like rats and mice make scurrying and tapping/gnawing sounds. Larger animals like raccoons and opossums make louder clambering noises. Also, note when animals are noisy: Squirrels are active during the day, while rats are busiest at night.

  • Droppings: Rats and mice leave small, rice-shaped droppings (the rat’s version is significantly larger). Bigger droppings belong to larger critters like raccoons. As long as you’re not squeamish, an image search can help you identify what you’re seeing in your attic.

When in doubt, take photos of damage or other evidence and show them to an experienced pest control pro.
