"Mr. Miller, with Apex, is SUPER easy to work with and will do you good! They did an awesome job with removing and adding new insulation. They ended up going above and beyond and even doing a little extra work for me!"

"I would recommend this company for asbestos abatement. I was very grateful that they were able to help me in such short notice to remove the asbestos when another company did not show. I thought their price was pretty fair and was told by the mold testing company that they do good work. I would not hire this company to do anything else. I was in a bind and got a quote on what it would be to mud and paint the ceiling and paint the house. I was very very unhappy with the quality of the work of the painters he hired. I feel I should have been deeply reimbursed or discounted because the paint job was so bad. They got plaster everywhere on my kitchen cabinets and are unable to remove it so I must just look at it. They did not replace some of my lights and there are cracks in the seems and every worker I have comments on how bad the paint job is. Very dissapointed that I spent so much money for that. They came out to try and fix it and it was not even fixed. Maybe a little better on the ceilings. It was extremely hard to get the electrician that I hired through them to come up and finish the job here in Charleston. I believe he lived a few hours away and everything was just a headache. He was unable to find a certain part and I ended up having to research and find it online. We lost at least a week while he was looking for that."

"Chris and the team did a very thorough job. They identified and addressed the mold, dust, and dirt in my central air system. They disassembled the fan to fully clean the core of the system, including mold removal and sealant, removed and cleaned all ducts, and fully cleaned all of the carpets throughout the house. They did a fantastic job and were worth every penny!"

"My name is Kevin Route. I ive in Pa. I bought a house in conway SC less then 2 years ago for my daughter Jarrod came to the home immediately and did air quality test. Unfortunately, the house had a massive amount of mold in the walls and ceilings. Jarrod and his crew eliminated all the mold and they went above and beyond there job to take care of myself and daughter. He kept ozone machines in the house longer at no extra cost to make sure there was no evidence of mold. He did the last air quality test and it came back perfect. He was in contact with me a couple times a week keeping me updated on how things were going with the process. Again, I never met Jarrod and his team in person but I trusted him to take care of us while I'm 14 hours away to fix our house. Man did he and his team take care of us. He was so professional, trusting, caring and just really took care of us in this unchartered house endeavor. Again Jarrod, there aren't enough words and number of times I can thank you for us. Love ya brother!!!!"

"We had a wet crawlspace when trying to sell our house and it came up on the home inspection. We called AquaDoc and Mike the owner came out to take a look at it for us. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He walked us through what needed to be done and solved our problem and we sold our house. Thank you to Mike and his crew. Highly recommend for any water or mold issues."

Mold Testing and Remediation questions, answered by experts

Yes, drywall mud can get moldy—though the presence of moisture is required for this to happen. That’s why the best way to keep your powdered drywall mud fresh for as long as possible is to keep it in dry storage conditions. If you live in a humid area, it might not make sense to stockpile a lot of powdered drywall mud before you’re ready to use it. As for premixed drywall mud, avoid opening the container until you’re ready to use it—and don’t expect it to last longer than six months.

Nearly all homes have at least some airborne mold spores. If you want to determine the concentration of spores in the air, you have a few options. The most effective option is to hire a professional tester who can take air samples of the home. The tester would send the samples to a laboratory to determine the concentration of mold spores.

No, heated floors are unlikely to cause mold. In fact, they can help prevent mold growth. The additional heat helps dry excess water and reduce condensation, which can lessen the likelihood of mold growth. Additionally, the heated floors can help reduce humidity near the bottom of the floor.

Yes, running your air conditioning unit too cold can cause condensation in the air ducts and built up moisture on the air filter, resulting in a breeding ground for mold and mildew. Mold and mildew growth can irritate those with respiratory issues, so it’s best to keep your AC running at a normal temperature.

No, a dehumidifier does not actually remove mold. It only reduces the moisture in the room, which mold needs in order to grow. If you already have mold, you’ll need to do a deeper cleaning or call a pro to remove the existing mold first.
