"Ray, is a great guy, a go-getter... Little forgetful better take your own notes! You will not get itemized bill. They use a wing it design plan. Best way I can describe it. They reuse any lumber they can even if that means shaving a 6x6 in place to make the gate level, by shaving I mean shoddy circular saw... Took me a few days of staring at it to notice now that is all I see. The gate used scrap wood like a 14 yo kid vs jus fixing properly or just pulling the 6x6 and redoing at extra expense because they worked into a corner. Start at one end while the other guy started at the other and they meet in the middle and the beams do not line up... So instead of fixing 2... Just renail 1 and make a hill out of it... Now if I want it fixed I'd have to remove every fence board. Again, took a few days of staring to realize something was askew, now it is all I see... It is horrible. Asked for a face lift on shed they replaced the plywood, slapped the old trim and when I tried to open door still would not open... They did not fix the busted frame above the door! They removed and resecured a section that was tipping and apparently the bottom was rotting out due to sitting in molding pine needles. Not only did they do a weak job cleaning up, they put the moldy pine needles back in place on new fence! I had shown them where previous builder (prior to me) had nails sticking out and had to bend them down because was on a gate (unsafe!). They did same dadgum thing!"

"Very nice, polite and on time. Worked quickly and thoroughly to my satisfaction. Was impressed by job they did. Phone conversation to set up appointment and describe job was difficult as my Spanish is not great and their English was worse. But we got it done."

Drapery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Window treatments fall under the categories of hard, soft, and layered. Hard refers to stiff, formed treatments that include window blinds and shutters. Soft refers to cloth window treatments that include drapes and curtains. Finally, layered refers to the combination of soft and hard treatments. For example, you might place flowing drapes over blinds to combine the practicality of a treatment that blocks the sun with the whimsical and elongating aesthetic of a full-window drape.

Strat decluttering for the holidays by removing trash and organizing items into different piles that you’ll keep, donate and toss out. Whatever you intend to keep, find a specific place for it, and if you buy something, get rid of an item that’s taking up space. Start small, go room-by-room, and don’t try to declutter all at once—doing so can get overwhelming.

Regarding UV protection for furniture, synthetic fabrics like polyester and acrylic are some of the best choices. They have inherent UV-blocking properties and can withstand prolonged sun exposure better than natural fabrics like cotton or silk. Additionally, outdoor-specific fabrics for patio furniture often include UV-resistant treatments to enhance sun protection. Fabrics like these have become softer and more comfortable, making them suitable for interior spaces like sunrooms and other spaces brimming with natural light.

Hydrogen peroxide can be a good option for removing dried blood stains, but it’s an aggressive solution that could discolor or damage your carpet. It’s often a better option to call in a professional to deal with dried blood stains. A pro will have commercial cleaning solutions that do a better job as well as the experience necessary to get the stain out without doing irreparable damage to your carpet.

In general, shades and blinds are the most common window coverings used today because they create unobtrusive, sleek profiles that fit into any space. In addition, blinds and shades are extremely easy to use. Most operate using either a pull system or wand. While most blinds and shades sold by retailers are available in a wide range of sizes that are made to fit standard windows, customers can also order custom shades and blinds for windows that are hard to fit.
