Small jobs welcome

"Tim is a friendly and personable professional in high demand for his many and varied skills. Aa a repeat customer who was in need of emergency help, I can also say his values are exemplary. Partly disabled, desperate and trying to move in 3 days, I reached out to Tim after another pro walked off my job yesterday within moments of arriving, with no explanation and having confirmed that the job looked fine. Tim's voicemail had been continuously full earlier (!) but he picked up my call after hours, remembering a job he'd done for me almost 2 years before. With skilled work booked into August, Tim nevertheless quickly offered to do my 2-part, low-skill job first thing in the morning! Before starting their regular work day, Tim and his wife Tammy handled my job quickly and efficiently, greatly reducing my stress over a move where much has gone wrong. Coming through in a pinch as they did for me shows not only their exemplary repeat customer regard but also serves as a shining example of their faith in action. Tim and Tammy, you were a blessing to me today. Thanks so much again, you guys are great!"

"Bill Dixon and his team were awesome. They shiowed up on time, completed the project within the time allowed. My bath vanity area now glows and is a pleasure to use. I would highly recommend him to others and would hire him again if another project arises."

Trampoline Assembly questions, answered by experts

Generally speaking, building a swing set is cheaper than buying a prefabricated one, but this assumes you have all the tools and knowledge to complete the project. The average cost to build a swing set is $514, but you should also factor in the time and effort it will require—if you don’t want to give up your weekend, it’s worth considering buying instead of building.

It’s usually possible to install a playground yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Playground construction can be complicated and involves moving large, heavy, and bulky components into place while you affix them to other pieces. Not only is the work physically demanding, but any mistakes could reduce the lifespan of your playground and potentially put any children who use the equipment at risk of injury. It’s relatively inexpensive to hire a professional playground installer, and it’s usually worth the investment, if only for the peace of mind it provides.

The average cost to install a playground is around $500, with most homeowners spending between $150 and $1,200 on installation labor. The total project cost can range from $500 to $2,500. These prices typically do not include the playground equipment itself, which can cost an additional $100 to $1,500.

Several factors influence the final installation cost:

  • Playset Details: The type, size, material, design complexity, and number of accessories.

  • Site Preparation: Costs may increase if the land needs to be leveled.

  • Yard Accessibility: Difficult access for installers can raise labor costs.

  • Customization: Custom-built playgrounds are more expensive to install than premade kits.

  • Permits: Local permitting fees may apply.

Additionally, remember to budget for playground surfacing, which can cost $15 to $160 per cubic yard, or up to $225 per cubic yard for poured rubber.

Whether building a playground or installing a pre-made one is more affordable depends on the materials of each. In most cases, it’s more affordable to build a wooden playground than it is to buy one and have it professionally installed, but it might be less expensive to invest in a pre-made plastic playground, even if you pay a professional to install it. Wooden playgrounds tend to last longer, but as children age, they will become less valuable. Overall, it may be most affordable to have a pro install a pre-made plastic playground.

The time to install your basketball hoop depends on the type of hoop you're installing.

For in-ground hoops, it's best to allow at least five days total for the entire process, which includes any utility marking, hole excavation, anchor placement, concrete pouring and setting, and final setup of the hoop itself.

The time to set up a mounted basketball hoop is significantly shorter, with most projects completed in just a few hours.
