"Adam and his team did a tremendous job on our paver project. The project including a new front walkway leading up to our house, a paver walkway/trail creating a loop through our backyard (including a staircase), a stone patio, and a pea gravel fire pit area. The project took 2 weeks of incredibly hard work from Adam's team, and we were impressed that Adam came by each day (and sometimes multiple times a day) to monitor progress. Our front and backyards look absolutely beautiful and we would definitely recommend Hard Scapes to anyone looking to do a similar project."

"I reached out to Divine Lightscapes via Angi to get outdoor lighting installed in my front and my backyard (new pool had just been installed). I was overly impressed with their responsiveness, knowledge, attention to detail, competitive pricing. and professionalism from the day I first initiated contact to having the install done. Believe all the reviews - this company has pride in the work that they do and the relationships they build along the way - I couldn't recommend Tim (and his family business) more highly!"

"We called All Out about some animal noises that we were hearing from the chimney. They quoted $165 to come out, do an inspection, chimney sweep and check on the situation with the animals. They were able to come out the next day. They were professional and courteous and explained their findings and where the animal noises were coming from. They removed the animal nests, trimmed back some branches and performed the inspection. They said the chimney didn't need to be sweep at that time. They didn't have enough wire wrap to go around the chimney so quoted $85 to come back and install it. That sounded ok to us. It was a few weeks before they came back out but that was because of our schedule, not theirs. Overall, we were satisfied with the work and the company. We would use them again.

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Ensure you have a safe environment for them to work on, and there aren’t items such as logs, build-up of yard materials, missing or damaged shingles, and weak areas on the roof. Communicate any known electrical issues with contractors at the beginning of the project, and consider hiring an electrician to fix those. Finally, if you are attempting the project yourself, do so when there isn’t any rain, and you can safely get your footing on the roof using proper equipment, such as an extension ladder. Don’t attempt this alone, and have a helper nearby to assist.

A chimney liner isn’t required for an outdoor fireplace; you don’t technically need one if the masonry chimney uses the proper dimensions and is built to code. However, a chimney liner does serve as a protective coating for the flue. Adding a liner could improve performance, safety, and durability. In short, while not necessary, it wouldn’t hurt.

No. Pellet stoves are specifically designed to burn manufactured wood or biomass pellets. Attempting to burn other materials, such as regular firewood or paper products, can damage the stove, compromise its efficiency, and even pose safety hazards due to inconsistent combustion and increased emissions. It's crucial to follow manufacturer guidelines and only use pellets that are specifically recommended for your pellet stove model to ensure safe and optimal performance over its life span.

Yes, a faulty or broken light switch can be a serious fire hazard. Malfunctioning switches, often due to loose connections, exposed wiring, or overheating, can cause sparking or arcing. If you hear a crackling, popping, or hissing sound when you use the switch, it indicates live electricity arcing inside, which is a significant hazard that can ignite nearby flammable materials. If you suspect your light switch is faulty, turn off the power to that circuit at the breaker and contact a qualified electrician to remedy the issue.

Although no heating appliance can be entirely risk-free, a fireplace insert is considered a safer alternative to a traditional open fireplace, thanks to their enclosed design. With a sealed combustion chamber, a fireplace insert effectively reduces the risk of sparks and embers escaping into the room, minimizing the chance of an accidental fire.

Additionally, an insert comes equipped with various safety features, such as tempered glass doors that create a barrier between the flames and the surrounding space. This enhances both safety and energy efficiency by preventing heat loss. As an added bonus, many inserts are designed to meet strict safety standards that ensure proper ventilation and combustion.
