"We hired TruGreen to manage our lawn due to the overgrowth of weeds. Like many I read the reviews, but thought they were random occurrences, Not so. They have a guarantee, and kept coming out but the weeds weren't dying off. We kept paying, they kept coming out for retreats, but no results. In fact the weeds got worse. We finally canceled the service. To date, they still call, the reps still act shocked, and now they want us to pay off the bill, and as a matter of principle I refuse. They actually called us to sell us more products during our service, claiming we had fungus and other things, but our technicians never said a word or showed us. Found out from one of their reps it's just a selling tactic, yeah, the admitted that. After months of treating and retreating the lawn, one tech said we don't treat these types of weeds, I him then why are you here? We're filing a complaint with the SCDCA, TruGreen products are garbage and in my opinion they're just a chemical company pushing chemicals. See images below. Our weeds were so bad, our neighbor killed a 20 feet strip of grass to separate his lawn from ours. We had silver dollars, clover, Dallas grass among other species. Lastly, the mosquito treatment was hit or miss, Mostly a miss."

There are several ways to decompose yard waste quickly. The first step is to move all debris into a compost bin or pile. From there, microorganisms, bacteria, and insects will break down the yard waste into compost. To speed things up, shred the waste into smaller pieces, add live worms to the pile, or introduce nitrogen-rich compost accelerators like grass clippings, coffee grounds, and manure. After calling, a representative will come out to your property to mark the places where any utility wires or pipes run below the ground so that you can edge or dig trenches safely. You are liable for any damage to utilities and other systems beneath the ground on your property, and you could be seriously injured if you accidentally run into wires or utility lines.

If your grass is stressed from being over-trimmed, try watering it heavily and then allowing it to recover for at least two weeks before mowing again. If you notice brown patches where the grass has died off because it’s too short, you should remove the dead grass and overseed the area. Leaving dead patches can invite weeds and other problems, so if you want a totally green lawn, getting rid of dead patches should include removing the dead sections before reseeding the area.
