"Albert and his team are the best! They fixed all of the problems that the builder left on the drywall and continued to fix areas that they noticed as they were working (things we didn't even have to point out to them). They are very proactive and do the job right without any supervision. They even fixed the horrible trim that the builders left in horrible condition (the builder did a sloppy installation) and didn't even charge us any extra for that. This is the team that has it all. They won't just come in and paint over bad drywall and patch jobs. They fix and then paint. They are just wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about them. They were punctual, courteous, informative, and did the job right from start to finish. They were also very good about keeping us informed and up-to-date on the status of the job."
It was an obvious problem with a simple solution. I explained to Marc what the situation was and he quoted an approximate cost. When the tech came, he came up with a slightly higher number, but not enough to be concerned about. He completed the job in a timely manner, was neat about enlarging the hole that I started in my wall and did not leave a mess on my garage floor. The tech also gave me a rough estimate for some more work I want to do in the future. Due diligence will be done, but all things being equal or close enough, I will hire MI Electric in the future.
I gave a B grade for responsiveness because I had to follow up with Marc after not hearing from him when we agreed would be a good time. Marc answered my call and got a tech to me in less than an hour and the job was completed approx. 24 hrs. after our first contact. Great recovery!
"The Excel team pressure cleaned the exterior of our commercial building and parking lot in Charlotte. Photos were emailed to us of the work in progress which was great. The building looks awesome and will present well as we look for a new tenant. Thanks to Excel for their awesome work and great customer service!"

"I do not typically take the time to review a company that I have worked with, but I really wanted other people out there to know that this is such a professional company with exceptional customer service. My husband and I recently purchased a new home in Waxhaw. After getting tired of the builders beige, we decided to start asking around for names of reputable paint companies in the area. We chose 3 companies to interview and have estimate our project. Fox Brothers was our last scheduled interview and we knew before Dan (our estimator and owner of the company) left, that this was the company we were wanting to use. He provided us our detailed estimate within 48 hours and offered to go through it with us if needed. The estimate was a bit higher than the others we received, but we decided that when it comes to our biggest investment (our home) we were willing to pay a little bit extra to ensure superior workmanship and professionalism. In addition, it was just as important to us to spend our hard earned money with a company that actually still believes in the importance of customer service. Needless to say, we are more than happy with the project and our home looks terrific. From the office staff to the crew to the project manager, we couldn't have been more pleased. We have another estimate already scheduled with Fox Brothers for the end of March for hardwood flooring installation."
The best lumber for building will be the strongest and most eco-friendly wood your budget allows. That being said, Douglas fir, pine, oak, and maple are all common building materials. Contractors will use a strong, inexpensive wood to frame a house or other structure and finer woods like mahogany for detail work.
Whether building a playground or installing a pre-made one is more affordable depends on the materials of each. In most cases, it’s more affordable to build a wooden playground than it is to buy one and have it professionally installed, but it might be less expensive to invest in a pre-made plastic playground, even if you pay a professional to install it. Wooden playgrounds tend to last longer, but as children age, they will become less valuable. Overall, it may be most affordable to have a pro install a pre-made plastic playground.
It can, especially with the rising popularity of treehouses that go beyond the ones designed for kids. Adults can now use them as office spaces, yoga studios, or quiet treetop retreats. That said, a treehouse can appeal to families with children or adults who might want to convert it into a space of their own. Depending on the buyer, they may be willing to pay extra for the unique feature.
Prefab sheds can be worth it, depending on your needs and goals. If you want to build the shed yourself or have a quick project turnaround, then a prefab shed will likely be worth it. If you want something more customized, then starting from scratch may help you achieve your goals better than a prefab could.
The construction stage is almost always the longest part of building a house. Within this stage, framing often takes the most time, lasting anywhere from one week to a couple of months, depending on the home's size, the crew, and the time of year. Other parts of the construction phase include pouring the foundation and installing doors, windows, a roof, siding, drywall, and flooring. The planning and design phase can also be very time-consuming, sometimes taking months or even years, especially for a custom home. The final finishing process, which includes painting and installing trim, is typically shorter than the construction or planning stages.
