"Tim is a good communicator, keeping me updated as per his time of arrival. He arrived on time, respected our home by placing protective coverings over his boots without being asked. Performed tests to replicate and confirm the problems I stated and snaked the upstairs drain through the shower to clear the obstruction. His pricing is on the higher side curve for these services although we were very satisfied with the service provided. I would recommend and refer Tim Campbell to others."

"AMAZING! If we could give Bryan a 100 star review, we would! What a professional, courteous and highly skilled young man! He repaired things we knew needed attention as well as found a mess under our house from our original contractor that could have cost us a fortune if it had not been discovered. He was highly knowledgeable in our Brizzo products by Delta. His price and solution were a fraction of the cost and did not require the removal of our bathroom marble as we had been told by other plumbers. He is a super young man and takes great pride in his work! We’ve NEVER had better quality service! Thank you, Bryan!"

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Since basements are prone to water and moisture issues and the resulting problems can be expensive to repair and potentially damaging to your home, basement waterproofing is almost always worthwhile. Even for homes that haven’t experienced water infiltration, waterproofing the basement is insurance against facing expensive repair bills in the future. All basements will leak at some point, so fixing drainage issues and taking steps to prevent moisture and water infiltration is wise.

Yes, many modern water pumps are designed with energy efficiency in mind. Look for pumps with high efficiency ratings or those with an Energy Star certification. These pumps consume less power and can reduce your utility bills. Additionally, variable-speed pumps are more efficient since they can adjust the flow based on demand, providing significant savings over time.

Some questions you should ask before hiring a plumber or drainage installation company include:

  • Are you licensed and insured?

  • Do you have any customer testimonials I can read?

  • How do you handle unforeseen challenges that occur during the job?

  • Is your fee a flat rate or hourly?

  • Do you do the work, or do you have subcontractors?

  • Is everyone who does the work licensed and qualified plumbers?

  • Is cleanup included in the quote?

  • Do you offer a warranty or guarantee on your work?

DIY is possible for small systems like French drains. Professional installation ensures proper grading and long-term effectiveness.

Ideally, your sump pump discharge should run down a natural downhill slope 10 to 20 feet away from your home’s foundation. However, if your property is naturally flat, that might not be an option. Instead, you may be able to discharge it into a neighborhood storm drain or a nearby creek or pond. If that’s not possible, consider burying it underground.
