"They did a wonderful job and went above and beyond my expectations. They accomplished more in 3 hours than I could do in weeks. They even shampooed my carpets! Amy even contacted me after the service to make sure everything was to my liking. I could not recommend this cleaning service more.

"Russell called about 45 minutes before he arrived - we didn't schedule an actual appointment, so this was fine. He came along with his assistant, Buddy.

I was looking to have three shelves removed from the wall, as well as removing the interior of a lower cabinet - removing the shelves and the floor. I didn't explain the cabinet issue very well over the phone so when Russell looked at the situation he said there was a potential for it to be much more difficult than he'd imagined at first and might cost more than he'd quoted me (minimum charge of $350, which covers standard three hours of labor plus general expenses). I started debating then about whether to continue with the cabinet job, but Russell said he'd see what he could do and see what came up as he started working.

They got to work right away, removing the cabinet doors and then the shelving. The bottom part was not as difficult as we'd feared and they did a wonderful job. They also added in extra support at the center column so the cabinet top wouldn't sag.

For the shelves on the walls, it was quick to remove them and Russell took the time to remove the leftover glue and sand things down to make them nice, even though I hadn't asked. They also took the time to blunt all the nails (cutting them to the boards so they weren't sticking out at all) so my cats would be safe around the cabinet.

All in all, Russell and Buddy were here for about an hour and a half and completed everything I asked, perfectly. They cleaned up after themselves as they were working and then again upon completion.

I already have more things planned and will not hesitate to call Russell again. His price was more than fair, I felt, for the excellent job. He did everything exactly to my specifications and in a timely, efficient manner."

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

Depending on the type of land survey, the report will mark the boundaries of your property, the topographical changes of the landscape, as well as major natural and added structures to the plot. A more detailed survey, like an as-built survey, will note the measurements of the structures and landscape following major construction. A topographic survey will also help your contractor determine the cost of land development projects.

To hire a land surveyor, you need to start by searching online for reputable professionals in your area. Here are a few steps to take when making a shortlist:

  • Browse land surveyor service website

  • Check credentials

  • Read customer reviews

  • Find their contact information

  • Call or email to inquire about more information

  • Ask how far they travel, if you’re some distance away

  • Find out how they charge for their services

  • Ask about schedule and turnaround times

  • Repeat these steps for one to two other services and compare pricing

A boundary survey measures the boundary lines of the property, only the length of each property line and their locations. A land survey includes a more in-depth measurement of the property, including the heights and depths of the terrain measured by a topographic survey. A boundary survey is typically the most cost-effective method for marking and measuring property lines.

Prior to excavation, you should prepare the dig site and call 311 before you sign anything.

To get your site ready for excavation, you should move anything in the area that isn’t affixed to the land. You can save money on the excavation by removing hardscaping, including walkways, decks, concrete patios, and paver patios.

Before you carry out any digging, you should call 311 to confirm that there are no utility lines running through your excavation site. Skipping this step could lead to severe injury and property damage if your excavator hits a water, sewage, or gas line.

A land survey provides precise property boundaries, reveals legal encroachments, and identifies rights-of-way, minimizing disputes. Understanding the exact dimensions and features of the property aids in informed decision-making and safeguards the buyer's investment.
