"Hired a professional to install 2 hand rails for my parents. One was installed on the front porch brick steps and one on the back porch brick steps. They arrived on time, installed both handrails quickly and safely. Handrails are sturdy, and now my parents lives are that much safer. Would recommend."

"These guys went the extra mile to make sure I was happy. My new refrigerator was too big for the spot it had to go. These young men removed wood from the insert until my fridge not only fit but I could open both doors (one side was against a wall). Then we discovered the water line didn’t work, so the guys immediately became plumbers and had to crawl under my house to fix the line. I am very happy! Hire them - apparently they can do anything!"

"I wish I had had before pictures so everyone could see what he was working with. Jeremy worked extremely hard in the heat. According to the instructions, assembly required two people. Jeremy assembled alone. I am overjoyed that Jeremy reached out and agreed to undertake this job. I discussed future jobs with him and am looking forward to working with him again."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is possible. An electrical fire can break out if the compressor has inadequate ventilation. When it overheats but doesn't have a proper thermal cutout, this can cause the motor to short-circuit and catch fire. This risk is exacerbated if flammable materials, like dust and fallen leaves, are clogging the unit. The compressor overheating won't start a fire by itself, but poor maintenance and installation can increase the risk once it hits its breaking point and short-circuits.

Yes, you need to leave your chimney damper open when burning a creosote log so that smoke and other debris doesn’t waft into your house as it’s burning. You’ll need to make sure your damper is fully open, even when the log continues to smoke, until it’s completely out and cold.

Smoke detectors come in two different options: hardwired or battery-operated. While hardwired units are attached directly to the home’s electrical system, a battery-operated smoke detector only needs a simple battery for operation and can be placed virtually anywhere in your home. Some homeowners may mistakenly think their battery-operated units are hardwired in because all their units are interconnected, but many battery-operated units can operate within a smoke alarm network in your home.

If a storm or other natural disaster occurs in your area, you may not have immediate access to help. According to the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency, keep a disaster preparedness kit in your home with enough essentials to sustain your family for at least 72 hours. Put this in an easily accessible location to have it handy in case anything unthinkable happens.

Regular and professional chimney cleaning offers several key benefits. It prevents dangerous fire hazards by removing flammable creosote buildup, improves airflow and heating efficiency, ensures the safe venting of smoke and harmful gases, and can help you stay in compliance with local safety codes.
