"I was put in touch with a technician named Tom. He was able to help me diagnose the issue with the bake igniter in my gas oven, during a remote video call. Tom sent me a link for the replacement part and explained how to install it. He even gave me a helpful tip for how to clean my oven’s glass window. I was able to replace the part easily using Tom’s instructions. I am very satisfied with the repair and with the help I got from Tom."

"They actually haven't done the job yet.  They quoted me probably around $12000.  I got them out and they did a complete assessment under the house and inside the house.  They then did the diagram and gave me a quote based on what they found."

"Were the only company out of 6 that responded quickly to my phone call, were at my house for inspection and estimate within a day, instead of 2-3 weeks like other companies. The owner came out and explained clearly (in layman's terms and with detail how they would fix the damage.) He gave an on-spot estimate that never changed. My fear was that he would offer the estimate, then nickel and dime me out of thousands more, but he stuck with the original estimate. He seems to know the business enough to provide an accurate estimate on the first visit.
They came on time, finished the day they estimated and did a great job on the fix. The tile in the bathroom was not up to my standards, so I called Travis. He personally came out within an hour of my call. Agreed that the work was substandard, and completely redid the tile work for not charge.
This type of service can be rare. It took an extra day, but they left the bathroom as if it were new.

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Asbestos itself does not typically leak from a roof. However, if an asbestos-containing roof is damaged or deteriorated, it can release asbestos fibers into the air. This can occur when the roof is disturbed, such as during maintenance or repairs, or due to weathering over time. Exposure to airborne asbestos fibers can be harmful to health, so it is important to address any damaged asbestos roofs promptly and safely.

Whether or not to buy a home containing asbestos is ultimately a decision for the homebuyer, and there are several things to consider. When in good condition and contained, asbestos is unlikely to present a health risk—it’s when those tiny fibers are loose and airborne that they become a problem. Consider any renovations you plan on doing to the home that could disturb existing asbestos and the cost of removal. If an inspection finds asbestos in a home on the market, you could negotiate with the seller for a lower price, though this isn’t a sure thing.

Asbestos was most commonly produced and integrated into building products from the 1920s to the late 1980s. In reality, asbestos use should have ceased much sooner because asbestos was linked to cancer in studies produced as early as the 1950s. You can even extend that number past the 1980s due to stockpiled materials and because some countries treat asbestos use differently. It may also be found more in commercial applications than residential.

When learning how to test for asbestos in a popcorn ceiling, you have an option for a DIY job or to hire a professional tester. You can purchase a kit at a hardware store and use personal protective equipment while doing the test. If you don’t want to risk any potential exposure to asbestos, hire a professional asbestos testing company instead.

If you suspect exposure to asbestos, prioritize seeking medical advice by informing your healthcare provider about the potential exposure with clear details about the circumstances that led to the exposure. Regular health check-ups and screenings if you work in high-risk industries or live in a home with asbestos are essential for early detection of any asbestos-related conditions. You should also consider consulting occupational health experts or legal professionals for guidance on potential next steps and preventive measures.
